I have gone here numerous times under the previous ownership and never had an issue. Went in yesterday for three egg sandwiches, plain bagels and a drink. My order was $40 and the service was not good. The girl taking my order was not very attentive. She was half paying attention while I was giving my order.

ALSO, I have a seafood allergy and am sure that there was some type of cross contamination because I had an allergic reaction and was very sick within a half hour of eating my food. Since that was all that I had eaten I know it is the only place it could’ve happened.

Safe to say I will not ever return here!

The Taylor Ham egg and cheese on a plain bagel was fantastic. The staff was very friendly as well. Great menu selection too!

While you get what you want here it definitely could be better. Since the ownership change the bagels are now always inconsistent, sometimes way overcooked, sometimes... just ok. After years of coming here I've finally decided to move on.

They expect you to pay for coffee before expecting you to prepare it yourself. Not the greatest system when you are in a rush and you just need a coffee and there are people in line infront of you

Edit: and the coffee isn’t even good. Leaves a weird metallic aftertaste

Their bagels are very good. Their cream cheese with lox and their cream cheese with bacon and scallions are the family favorites!

We came to mount olive bagels today for the first time since ownership changed… and let me say it shows. The employees all seemed very tense and management was verbally aggressive. It took just about 20 minutes for 2 bagels and 2 sandwiches and there was no one else in the cafe. I understand that they may have been working on DoorDash orders but watching the way the employees function behind the counter, it was clear that the shift in management has affected the overall atmosphere and function of the store. While we were waiting for our order they had messed up multiple orders and blamed the customer for the mix up. Not sure if we will be coming back at this point

A real Mount Oliver knows the town’s bagel strengths for each location.

Budd Lake: bagel quality, size, efficiency.
Flagels: sandwiches, cream cheese variety
Mount Olive: atmosphere… maybe

Didn’t like this place as soon as it opened 100 feet from Budd lake bagels.
