Went here early on a Saturday night, place was empty which was cool because we just wanted to relax, bartender (Collin or Connor, sorry bud) was friendly, and bar atmosphere seemed like it could be fun when it gets busy, especially with a band or event happening. Tried to order some food but was told that the owner/cook went to get cigs or something and would be back in 10 mins (bartender said it would be more, 10 mins is not really 10 mins), waited over an hour and she never...
I only come here for events. Having said that, the parking is absolutely terrible. There is nowhere close to park if the lot is full. The bathrooms are also outdated. There is no AC in the building so when there are a lot of people crammed into one space it gets hot. They allow smoking right outside the entrance which blows into the building every time the door opens. The lady who runs the place is nice. Never tried their food or drinks so can’t comment on that.
The guy behind the bar was aces and the beer was cold. The place was empty, but I had come in because I saw they had a shuffleboard table... this is the worst shuffleboard table in NJ. No sand allowed, bc the regulars were being hilarious apparently, so instead, they slapped a coat of lacquer on it and called it polished. As an enthusiast, I was exterminate disappointed. However, there are a few other positive things I should point out here... they host midget wrestling.
