Portion sizes are unacceptably small given the price. The meal I'm about to show you cost over SEVENTEEN dollars and consists of half a pint of plain white rice (more than 4 dollars) and a takeout portion of chicken lo mein (over 11 dollars) totaling over 17 dollars tax included. I could make over a quart of plain white rice for a mere fraction of the price at home.The food is good, but horrendously overpriced.The woman at the register is also very nice.

This was my husband and I’s first time here and we both talked about how this place is a 10/10! We are HUGE sushi lovers so we are very critical. And we like this place better than our go-to sushi place that’s closer to our home. We decided to branch out and this was our first choice and we will be coming back here more often now. The service was amazing, employees were friendly and welcoming, their tables and plates etc. we’re so clean. The sushi was FRESH AS EVER!!!! Don’t be fooled by any negative reviews, I can guarantee you won’t be disappointed if you tried this place. Some ppl are miserable and unhappy that they need to bring other restaurants down, but disregard any negative reviews and focus on the good ones because I never review places but this was a must, because of how great it was. Thank you!

Overall food was good. The fish was fresh. They had brown rice which is our preference. Lucy was a nice server. At 6 pm on a Friday it was slower than I would have expected. New owners for about a month.

Have been coming here for a long time and they must have changed owners recently and let me just say it’s changed a lot the food is not the same i usually get ramen and has a kick to it today it had no taste at all and to many veggies? The roll i had was terrible as well. Server was great but other than that wont be coming back for now on. Miss the old staff

I had not been to this spot since about Fall 2019. Not sure when the owners changed, I would imagine it is recent. I probably should have taken the hint when I walked in at lunch time and it was completely empty. The man who seated us also took our order, our table was serviced by a child no older than 12. Felt bad for him as he was trying, but he was the only one. The man who I assumed was his Dad never came to our table again as he was on his cell phone on speaker the whole time. The food portions were small and only tasted OK. We did not have sushi this time and it was probably the right choice.The real kicker was when we went to pay our bill. The kid says, cash only our machine is not working. Really? Clearly not the kid's fault, but what in the heck is wrong with this place? Never again, they will be out of business soon if they don't improve everything.

Have been going to Wasabi for over 14 years. Owner is wonderful and food is delicious whether you eat it in or take it out. Fish is always fresh and bacon fried rice with hibachi dinners is now a family staple! Go, eat, enjoy!

I’ve had better sushi at Chinese buffets. Very disappointing, ingredients don’t taste fresh. Prices are way to high, it would be okay if the sushi was good but it’s not. Will not be coming back.

I wasn't sure if I should've asked the sushi chef for water, but otherwise the server was untop of it and the food was great.Recommend Tempura Ice cream

The owners are lovely people always make you feel special and the sushi and rolls are great!
$106 before tip through grub hub. That a $42 dollar sirloin and filet hibachi combo dinner and three $15 or so rolls that fit into one container. Meat is over cooked and chopsticks weren’t included. Two little ketchup packs of soy sauce. What a joke, there’s about 10 pieces of steak there. Do yourself a favor drive down to Halulu in Stanhope which is 10 minutes away. That’s where we usually go, and the food is 10x better, portions are double the size, and the price is the same or less. I’m a frequent hibachi guy, and this is by far the most disappointing hibachi I’ve ever encountered.I’m gonna update to 2 stars because I was promptly reimbursed a portion of my money, which I appreciate the gesture. This was in fact done by Grubhub and I’m not sure who is on the hook for it but, Grubhub took the complaint seriously and did what they could. When I called the restaurant I was told sorry it’s a normal portion. Either way I won’t be back
Drove up from Rockaway for a late lunch, owner is such a nice man. Sushi is the freshest we ever had. Great food, great atmosphere and great prices!
