Why does the Macadamia No. 5 meal not have beef? This is the first time I heard of this meal with only 4 ingredients. I have been to so many restaurants with the same 5 ingredients.

We have been ordering from.here for years. However, the past few times, things have definitely declined. Probably the last time we order from them.

58$ later and it's not even 30$ in food, so sad you can't even get good quantity for the insane prices anymore

OK here’s so here’s my review I call up and order a real lot of Chinese food okay… After I called up and asked about a specific item on the menu do you use scallions do you use fresh pork in your pork with scallions or is it roast pork? (The menu says pork with scallions not roast pork with scallions well other dishes denote roast pork specifically this one says pork with scallions. So I figure I better ask) I cannot have the roast pork because of a food allergy that red dye they use… I Specifically talk to the manager who was a guy and said oh no no it’s fresh pork OK fine I said I don’t want the onions in it but you can put more scallions no problem so I go to pick up the order with and when I get home (I live 10 miles away) I open the order and GuessWhat? It’s roast pork (the red dyed stuff) and they charged me extra for not putting onions in it because “scallions are so expensive” they said …mind you they didn’t tell me that until I got to the desk to pay (of course he didn’t tell me that on the phone when I asked him about how the dish was prepared)…..so I called them and said “hey do you know what?..part of my order was wrong you said it was fresh pork and that’s why I ordered it “ but that’s not what I got…so after going through three or four different people they told me “well if you want your money back for this one item you have to come back to the store right now and bring the item with you “ I’m like are you kidding me? I was 10 miles away I’m not driving back there you charged me extra for scallions when you said you didn’t even mention that and you gave me the wrong item even when I asked specifically what was in it. “ Can you just give me a store credit I order from you all the time… They said no…So I said “let’s just do this how about if I never come there again and I find another favorite Chinese restaurant” ..and that was basically it….. it’s a shame because they lost a very very good customer who was there at least four times a month …their loss, would not recommend this place now at all… sorry it had to go down like this… Pretty lame Customer service when they know that they were in the wrong…

Two stars because they have an online ordering system and delivery, other than that I would not eat their food. West Lake Village (WVL) has a lengthy menu of Chinese dishes but most of them are distinguishable only by the vegetables that are served with the dish, not by the flavor. Shredded beef with garlic sauce, Hunan chicken, roast pork with mushrooms, it's all the same sauce and the food is barely distinguishable regardless of what protein you order. I cook a lot of Chinese food at home and have discerned the universal WLV sauce is a weak mix of soy sauce, sugar and chicken broth. That's it. Their chicken is standard but the beef has seemingly been treated with baking soda, a typical move to make tough cuts of meat more palatable. WLV is good if you need credit card ordering and delivery, otherwise, I would go elsewhere.

Food was not very good. I'm spoiled since I grew up in the NYC metro area. However, even for Maine standards, yuck!

I haven't been to this place is quite awhile and probably won't be going back and trying this place again for some time. Why? Well lets see, no rice was included with the meals, the egg rolls were moist but noticeably small in size, there wasn't any condiments included in the bag or any fortune cookies. My chicken with cashews was more like over sized vegetables and cashews, very little chicken in the meal. The lo mein was not very good according to my wife. All told, this place needs help, we were very disappointed.

Ordered food to go. Chicken & broccoli. The food was bland with hardly any sauce. Yuck! I never had Chinese food like this before. This was my first time here and there won’t be a second time.
