Jameson's Southern Cooking Reviews
They had no collard greens and no corn bread they put two slices of white bread on top of the dinner. I don't know if today was just one day that was not going well, but the food was not good at all. Used to be my very favorite place to get a wonderful dinner. The whiting was old, it even smelled bad. The mac and cheese was dry. The black eyed peas were tasteless and drowning in water. Sad. Just really, really sad.
Ate there on Sunday, June 1st. Absolutely amazing. Staff are super friendly and the food is unbelievable!!
We will definitely be back again!
This place is amazing , the chicken, ribs, sides, all awesome !! Bob is a great man , spoke to him, thanked him for his service as a marine . He even introduced me to a fellow marine and friend who was dining there when I picked up my order . I’ll be back for sure . Thanks again Bob 😋

Jameson's Southern Cooking is a hidden gem that many people pass by without realizing the delicious food that awaits inside. The overwhelming, intoxicatingly delicious smell of freshly cooked southern food greets visitors as they step inside. This small restaurant offers a cozy atmosphere with a few tables to sit down and eat. The owner is a nice guy who is very helpful and informative, guiding guests through the menu and specials of the day. The homemade cornbread served with each meal is a delightful addition.
The fried chicken and ribs combo meal is a standout, with the best-fried chicken one reviewer has ever had, perfectly crunchy and juicy. The ribs fall right off the bone and are generously sauced with homemade barbecue sauce. Sides like baked macaroni and cheese and potato salad are also highly recommended. Many customers praise the tasty soul food options such as fried shrimp, crabcakes, yams, collard greens, and banana pudding, all fresh and flavorful. The food is often enjoyed through takeout, with many expressing eagerness to return for more.
Aside from the delicious food, the homemade carrot cake is a must-try, with some customers even considering driving an hour just to buy a whole cake. The staff is described as extremely friendly and pleasant, creating a welcoming atmosphere akin to being in your mom's kitchen. While the restaurant is mainly for takeout, the limited seating and parking can be challenging. Though the entrance is accessible, the bathroom and counter are not wheelchair friendly. If one loves true Southern cooking, Jameson's Southern Cooking is a place not to be missed.
