Jamison’s has a great soul food menu with some really good options. The service is top notch, though I only did take out. I recommend trying the friend whiting, yams and collard greens but you can’t wrong no matter what you pick at this place!!!

My family got takeout from Jameson's and absolutely loved it! We ordered fried shrimp and crabcakes, collard greens, mac and cheese, potato salad, string beans, and yams - oh, and banana pudding which was amazing! The food was fresh and tasted great. We look forward to eating Jameson's food again!
I was visiting from Florida with my brother from DC. We googled for a restaurant and came upon this gem. The food Ihad , catfish, black eye peas, corn bread, collard greens, mac and cheese was delicious. The topper was the sweet potato pie. The atmosphere was wonderful as we had a great conversation with the owner, Bob Jameson. I wanted to go back the next day on Monday but they are closed on Monday and Tuesday. I will definitely come back when I visit Neptune again.

Excellent fresh prepared soul food. A true gem of a place.
Picked up a 1/2 tray catering order of banana pudding for a gathering of friends. Can't say enough about the pudding. OMG...It was a big hit with everyone at the gathering. The flavor was amazing. Will definitely stop by and thank the owner personally. Looking forward to picking up a 1/2 tray of peach cobbler for our next gathering. Definitely stop by and check out Jamesons. They won me over.

Fried chicken is always great! Bbq ribs too! I’m sure the other entrees are Fantastic too. Sides were underwhelming but loved everything else we got. We always try to stop by when we’re in the area
Customer service was amazing it reminded me of being down south no attitudes just kind southern hospitality. The food didn’t last long enough to take any pictures I was eating it walking out the door. Hands down the best soul food in the Monmouth County area them pork chops Mac and cheese (chefs kiss) and you can’t eat here without grabbing a slice or 2 of sweet potato pie reminded me of sitting at my grandmas house on thanksgiving
I loved this place so much! Will definitely be returning for great food. From the moment we walked in until we walked out, the service was amazing. The food was freshly cooked, seasoned to perfection and delicious. Mr. Jameson has a little slice of the South and all its best qualities in my home state of NJ.

Great Soul Food. Primarily take out. FRESH FISH! Not cheap but worth every bite.
Dietary restrictions: Selections should be made with care or ask questions. Most foods are well seasoned
Parking: Very limited parking. Pull in from and getting out on Rt. 35N. is problematic. Be patient.
Kid-friendliness: Not really designed for kids. Very sm. number of on site seating.
