I ordered fries, but they had a strong meat taste. It seems the same oil is being used for cooking meat and fries, and I wasn’t able to eat them because of the flavor. Please consider changing the oil more regularly or using separate oil for fries.

I’ve been to this particular Popeyes many times and over and over the workers seem to not understand what they are doing, or get my orders wrong. However it still being Popeyes the food is great when they get it right.

If I literally could give zero stars I would. The Neptune/Asbury Popeyes has really gone downhill since seemingly new owners/management has taken over. On previous occasions staff were having fun, laughing and putting out a great product that was pretty close to being made with love. There was always a line to get in the place. Now no one goes there, the old staff and great manager are gone, and the food totally sucks. Ordered 2 items yesterday evening and when we got them home both items were completely wrong. Incredibly frustrating- it was never like that. Don’t be fooled by the good reviews- it’s definitely not what it once was. Such a shame because I really liked it there!! However I will never go back. Done.

Every time I’ve ordered food from this establishment, it’s prepared or has been prepared in a timely manner and hasn’t sat for long periods of time under a heat lamp. The server is always pleasant. 😍 THIS POPEYES located in Neptune is DELICIOUS! Highly recommend. 😋 🤩

However, don’t judge all Popeyes as having the same quality of food handling.

🚨— The Popeyes at the Freehold Mall, Freehold, NJ is terrible! The chicken was inferior, seemed old as the bones were dried out which told me the chicken definitely had been sitting under a heat lamp for “ages.” 🤢 💸 🙁 If what I ordered is not readily available, I would rather wait for my order to be freshly made rather than have it given to me quickly because it was prepared much earlier and had been sitting under a heat lamp. Quality is more important to me. I will NEVER buy from Freehold again. Sadly disappointed at the Popeyes location at the 🚫 Freehold Mall . 👎

Though the Mall is closer for me, but I will drive the extra distance to purchase chicken dinner from Neptune’s Popeyes. 👍👍 “I ❤️ my chicken from [Neptune’s] Popeyes!” 🎤🎶🎵🫠
