This had been a long time favorite for our family but not sure we will be back. The place needs some renovations or at least some up-keeping. It’s not only dated, but starting to look dirty. You used to get a salad with your meal, but evidently they stopped serving salad with meals, it’s now a la carte. Portions have been reduced significantly and you can’t order wine from the bar next door anymore. Apparently, it’s byob but wine only. My husband and his friend were stopped when they tried to open a beer. Not what it used to be.

Absolutely love the food It's the best, place is tight so when another customer is loud it kinda ruins the atmosphere but other than that very good.

I found this place on Facebook looking for restaurants in Neptune City that were open for takeout. They didn't have a menu listed and upon messaging them they promptly updated their page with a current menu and prices. Ordered today, they were out of Cesina however I did get their shrip cocktail which is Cóctel de Camarón. The lady prepared it with everything and was ready quickly. They're bilingual and speak bothe English and Spanish. Lemme tell you something I worked in a Mexican restaurant previously and The Morenita's Cóctel is bomb AF! They give you such a generous portion and it was so fresh! I totally recommend! Will definitely spread the word out and return to try other stuff on their menú! ¡Gracias por la rica comida!
