Blackthorn Restaurant & Irish Pub

The food was not good. I got the fish and chips, and the fish was more breading than fish. The worst part was we were early, so we got 2 drinks at the bar, and per the menu was $17. Gave the bartender a 50, and he returned with $32 as opposed to $33. We asked about it because we didn't get a receipt, and he said, "Oh the tax, but we round down"!! I'm seriously so disappointed!!

No server check ups and rushed us to pay(so she could leave) when the food took longer to come out

When I ordered the food the Mac&Cheese was watery and the steak was only fat that I could not eat it and when we ordered drinks they messed up the order more than three times. Also the service was terrible. Sorry but not coming back.

They messed up the drinks at my table. The steak I got was only FAT and the steak only had fat, no actual steak. The drinks took three times to get right. The service was bad, no AWFUL!

food was good, but not the worth the near hour we waited after ordering. main complaint is the tipping system. the restaurant automatically charges 20% gratuity, and then when you scan the receipt’s QR code to pay online, the system charges another 20% gratuity. you can opt out of the 2nd round, but the website design makes it easy to not realize they’re charging you AGAIN. very deceptive practice, and when i told a staffmember they just blamed it on the system (even tho it’s the restaurant automatically charging 20% gratuity and using a software that charges an additional tip?). have been to a lot of restaurants and have never seen this practice before.

Decent place for a beer and burger but def not a Pub feel or look. More like college bar. Nothing wrong with that, but “Irish Pub” it is not.

food was super lackluster. menu says corn beef and cabbage rolls… it was mashed potato and cabbage with TINY specs of corned beef. Spinach dip was spinach and a bunch of other vegetables. Steak tips were super fatty and really inedible.

Had Atlantic Cod and chips. Cod was extremely soggy, home made chips were the bomb light crispy.
