Yesterday, I visited this wonderful place. I first stopped by Kaizr, where Angie, a staff member, recommended it and mentioned that her friend Salma works at Buns. I just had to give it a try as well. Salma was incredibly friendly and recommended the Biscoff shake, which was absolutely delicious, along with the Hot Honey Chicken Fries, which were equally amazing.

We saw a FB reel about their secret menu smash burger and decided to come by on our trip to NJ. We were not disappointed in the least. The burger was huge and easily enough for me and my wife. The taste was phenomenal and the burger was juicy. We also had the Hot Honey Fries and loved them. They are easily a meal in and of themselves. I would definitely recommend this to anyone.

Here I realized that a burger can truly brighten your day. Soft bread, perfectly cooked meat, and everything served without rush. But what really sets this place apart is the cashier: she looks you in the eye, listens, and gives honest recommendations. You leave with a full stomach and a lighter heart. That’s true hospitality.

We saw a reel on FB of their secret menu smash burger. Ironically enough, we were going to be in New Brunswick, NJ. It was delicious and huge. My husband & I shared the burger. Definitely recommended the food. By the way chicken hot honey fries were also delicious.

Overall the customer service was amazing and the food was worth it. Didn’t expect a place like this to give out high quality food and there shakes are OUT OF THIS WORLD!! Would like to thank Salma and mizo for the great customer service.
One of the best Burgers I have ever had in my life. I love their smash beef Burgers especially SmashMelt with Double Beef Patties. It is my go to order and one of my top comfort foods.
Their Vanilla Milkshake is also really good. Mozarella sticks are just average.

The dine in area is very small- holds about 16 people. It was very hot in the restaurant (outside was 70 degrees) and was very loud. The servers were very nice and barely heard when they were shouting order numbers due to the music. The milkshakes are the consistency of a custard if thats what you like! I was hoping for a milkshake. There is no “vegan” dishes as Google says but maybe a side. There may be a couple vegetarian options. Impossible to accommodate gluten free outside of the burger with sides/ couple shakes. We waited for the burgers about 30 minutes on a Saturday night. They seemed well staff and ran a smooth shop. My burger lacked seasoning and the burger relayed on heaps of mayo. The smash fries were so good. The homemade cheese sauce is very taste.
Vegetarian options: They have like one vegetarian item but you have to check if it’s cooked in the same fryer as the chicken.
Dietary restrictions: Gluten free- get the burger and that’s it. Most shakes are not gluten free.
Parking: It’s limited street parking and parking deck available.
Kid-friendliness: The servers paid attention to the kids. No kid menu but there is food they would enjoy.
Wheelchair accessibility: It’s wheelchair accessible but it’s very tight.

Ok , I couldn't wait to get to my car and write this review. Saw this place on tiktok and a lot of times they don't match up to what you see, this place is 100% legit!!! Had a double smash burger, & bacon jalapeno barbecue mac and cheese. It cost me $22.00 but was worth every penny. In all honesty, I only took a few bites of the Mac and cheese because of the burger. It out of this world, wonderful, tasteful couldn't get near a shake, because I was just that full. I will take the Mac and cheese home and enjoy it, Another day, but the bites I had, we're out of this world too. Added caveat, the whole area is just wonderful. Many places to come eat and enjoy yourself. True college atmosphere with lots of things to do lots of places to eat. Believe me I will be back in the area. And I will make my first stop BunsN Shakes. The young lady who waited me on the at the counter, said she was the owner's niece, couldn't have been any nicer. Take a weekend, reserve a room and make this whole location a place to come visit!!! Minor nuisance of finding a parking space, but come to the area, find someplace to park, spend a day walk around. It's well worth it
