This place offers some of the best food around and for reasonable prices. I've had everything here and everything has been delicious.

Ordered two lunches and sides for delivery. They forgot the cake, and they forgot to add salad to both of the lunches. Plantain chips were bland and unsalted. Chicken was dry. Food in general was not flavorful. Needless to say we will not be ordering again.
We got upset stomach after eating the food. If I could give negative stars I would.

Rude woman at the counter. I went in there to buy lunch but needed to urgently use the bathroom first. I asked her very politely where can I find the bathroom and she aggressively replied “you have to be a customer to use the bathroom. Buy something first.”

I was born around the corner....in my most lonely moments, this place became home. my favorite meals. it is also available on uber eats. I love you Lucia, it is Patrick. this is a wholesome environment where you DO get your moneys worth and even more. no chisma no gossip, all love and respect in this building and everybody is welcome. I am a spaniard, to be so accepted and seen in a latino environment is something I don't take for granted. I recommend the beef empanadas, if youre veggie get there early to catch the cheese ones! and the chicken is a classic...
I recommend you get there early if you want yellow rice because I'll beat you there! haha.
ill never forget my lonely nights becoming not so hopeful for my city... and I walk in and Lucia is in full dia de los muertos make up while working, and she says hello Patrick! ill never forget how you've treated my dates and friends, thank you all staff and family. this is home. 11 out of 10.

Disappointing Experience: Horrible Food.
I recently visited this restaurant, which I had frequented many years ago when it first opened. Unfortunately, my latest experience was a disaster.
I ordered a papaya shake, which was mostly ice with barely any papaya, causing a severe brain freeze.
I ordered baked salmon with salad and fried plantains was a catastrophe. The salad contained rotten lettuce, while the fish was old, smelled fishy, and tasted awful. The plantains were refried, burnt, and rock-hard.
After tasting the fish and two plantains, I became sick. Despite paying the full price of $25.00, I couldn't finish the meal.
When I showed the owner the slimy fish, she became defensive and argumentative. She insisted the food was fresh and dismissed my concerns about the black lettuce, attributing it to the packaging from a large plastic bag. Even when I pointed out the lettuce's age, she maintained that the fish had been seasoned the day before and was fine.
Shockingly, they didn't offer to replace my meal or waive the charge.
*Rating:* 1/5 stars (avoid this place!).

Called on August 7, 2024 and asked if the restaurant had parking because it was raining. I spoke with two people and the girl hung up on me all rude. I called back and they didn't pick up the phone.

Recommended dishes: Beef Stew with Yellow Rice and Black Beans, Sancocho, Side of Yellow Rice and Black Beans, Cuban Sandwich & Tostones
I don’t know if the cook forgot to season the food today, but the stew chicken and fried chicken had absolutely no seasoning. The rice was basic yellow rice. It doesn’t give a Caribbean taste AT ALL. I hate that I spent $40 here.

I came to this restaurant over 20+ years ago so a lot has changed. This used to be a Cuban Restaurant but it doesn't have the taste. You usually got a bang for your buck too! The food was good but the fish could've had some kind of sauce on it, but it had flavor. I got the lunch special and thought it came w salad. It's better to get the lunch special because I wouldn't want to pay full price for 1 fish filet w/o sauce. All I had a nice experience.
