After our day of beauty at a nearby salon, we yelp for food nearby. It was a rainy day and finding parking in this area is not easy. This was a three minute walk away. The reviews are ok. Welp... all I can say is that it was a trip for exercise. We ordered 2 steak sandwiches, beef empanadas, chicharones de Pollo with rice and beans. Stomachs on high growl. We were the only ones dining in before one more seated patron came. The food was made to order, so there was a bit of a wait. They had ready to go options at the front counter, too. Steak came with onions and mayo. There was lots of grissel and needed another sauce. It was very dry. Empanadas needed a salsa they were flavorless, just greasy. The chicharrones are slightly overcooked. Beans and chicken are all missing a taste. We all looked at each other and asked if we had covid lol cause we couldn't taste any flavors of Latin or Caribbean. They forgot the seasonings on everything. This place was sadly overrated at a 3.6. At the time of our visit. My goya coconut water was great. My daughters enjoyed their Goya pineapple sodas. The ladies who worked there were wearing masks and all very pleasant. I feel bad for them that this place was not good at all. Keep walking in the rain cause their flavors were washed away.

I came to this restaurant over 20+ years ago so a lot has changed. This used to be a Cuban Restaurant but it doesn't have the taste. You usually got a bang for your buck too! The food was good but the fish could've had some kind of sauce on it, but it had flavor. I got the lunch special and thought it came w salad. It's better to get the lunch special because I wouldn't want to pay full price for 1 fish filet w/o sauce. All I had a nice experience.

I took my mother to eat there on a Saturday evening, and she was happy with how they made one of her favorite dish(Mondongo). I myself was surprised how good the fresh fried Talapia tasted. The price was reasonable compared to other restaurants, and it's in the heart of New Brunswick downtown. The only downfall is in this area. I recommend this restaurant to anyone who is on a tight budget as well. Big thumps up ?

There wasn't one thing that we tried that tasted anything like Cuban food. I think that their scrambled use of Latin American foods and seasonings make it a strange fusion that I did not find enjoyable.

I ordered the mofongo with pernil. The pernil was juicy and the mofongo was not too dry. They also give you a hot sauce which compliments the dish. I amount of food for the price is amazing. I can't wait to go back.

First time visiting this cozy corner cafe and it exceeded my expectations. The roasted chicken wasn't dry at all and is well seasoned. I enjoyed the potato salad and wanted another scoop. Excellent customer service serving large pocket friendly portions.
