Cool Runnin's Caribbean Reviews
The jerk chicken platter is the best. I've tried many different spots in DC/MD and NJ, but Cool Runnin's jerk chicken is top. The location right on Easton ave is tough to find parking and I wish they were on doordash or one of the other delivery services.
Food fell off. Must be a new cook cabbage was hard. Not cooked. Meat was tough . And nit juicy. Also had a different taste. Would not go back. And I've been eating there for years.
Beware! The menu on this page says $14.99 for a large Oxtails dinner. They charged me $24.99 each for two dinners. I was denied a refund. No prices are posted. They are ripping customers off.

Cool Runnin's Caribbean is a popular spot for delicious takeout and quick dine-in options. The friendly staff provide excellent service and ensure orders are ready on time. The menu features a range of Caribbean dishes, including the highly-recommended jerk chicken, curry goat, and oxtails, all served with rice and peas, cabbage, and plantain. The jerk chicken platter continues to be noted as the best, making it a must-try for anyone in the area. While parking can be tough to find on Easton Ave, the reasonably priced platters and overall excellent food make it worth the trip.
The restaurant also offers a catering service that has received praise for its kindness and efficiency, even for last-minute requests. Guests have reported a fantastic experience with the catering, highlighting how the staff went above and beyond to meet their needs. Although the eatery has very limited seating, it continues to be highly recommended for its amazing homestyle Jamaican food. Recent reviews mention generous portions of jerk chicken, oxtail, and curry goat, all served with heavenly rice and peas. However, some customers have noted a decline in the quality of the oxtails during recent visits. This casual, four-seat eatery is definitely worth a revisit, especially for fans of flavorful Caribbean cuisine.
