Changed prices multiple times over the years and changed menu. But if you know the location then you understand its a college town. You can put the worst food in a college town and they'll stay in business because the students keep it open

LOOVE this place! Done in or take out. You can’t beat Efe’s for Mediterranean food. Top notch eats and service at fair prices. MUST HAVE THE Pistachio cake for dessert! It’s an ABSOLUTE TREAT.🙏

As someone who has tried Turkish food in nearly every state, I can confidently say that Efes is the best of all.

Disappointed EFES Isn’t the Same Anymore
I used to love this restaurant, but things have really declined since the management changed or maybe because they’re too focused on expanding to other locations and not properly managing this one.
1. The rice portions that used to come with entrées have shrunk significantly! Now they’re the smallest I’ve ever seen.
2. No more water pitchers at the table. I was coughing and couldn’t even get a refill just one small glass of water, which leads me to point 3.
3. The place is clearly understaffed only three servers for the entire restaurant. There just aren’t enough team members to assist guests properly.
4. When I asked for extra bread, I was met with a disapproving look. Not exactly great hospitality.
5. The food has lost its authentic flavor, and the overall quality has noticeably dropped.
6. Prices have gone up significantly, and they no longer match the portion sizes or dining experience.
7. The lighting is so dim I had to use my phone flashlight just to see what we were eating.
Overall, I’m really disappointed. It feels like corners are being cut smaller portions, fewer staff, and higher prices. If the plan is to open more locations, I hope they focus on fixing what’s broken first. This used to be one of my favorite spots, but sadly, I won’t be returning anytime soon.

I came here with my wife one day and it was very nice the staff are extremely friendly, and they have a lot of options to choose from. I would say that it is a little dark in there due to their lighting but overall it was a pleasant experience and would definitely come again.

Wonderful place, amazing food, hummus is amazing, pan fried liver is delicious, all of the entrees are perfectly portioned and absolutely delectable. The knafeh here is amongst the best I have had, rivals the knafeh you get in Patterson, NJ
Horrible experience!! Never go there with your family
Rude behavior!!!
We went here today with baby(6month old) we were three people including baby
Firstly they said that dine in is upstairs
After taking order of two people later she came and said that it is our policy that you are three people including baby so you have to order for three people
Otherwise we have setup outside you can sit there
She said that her manager told her it’s just their policy, and she can’t ask him again why. I mean, my baby is only 6 months old—how can we be expected to order for three people? We simply left that ridiculous place

THEY ARE KICKING PEOPLE OUT. They are catering only to their own country men. We south asian family came on july 7 evening around 8pm. The evening manager constantly looked at my wife and made it very awkward. We ordered some light food and the waiter was ok without any issues. After 10-15 minutes, she came back and said the manager wants to kick us out saying the upper floor dine in seating is not for us because we didn’t order enough food. It felt discrimatary, Very CHEAP, DISGUSTING, and low level type of attitude from your staff. Apparently the manager made up a policy in his own after seeing us. I will consult a lawyer if I can sue you.
We instead went to Namli Mediterranean & Turkish Cuisine and they didn’t have any issues.
You should be banned and sealed for discrimination and disrespect.

my favorite turkish food!!! and I tried alot all over the world. I love this place so much. it's always my go-to. they have the most delicious lamb gyro! but everything in the menu is really good. The mixed grill is a must, and Knuefe, baklava for dessert. Can't recommend enough

Food has been reliably good at Efes for more than 20 years. That is an amazing track record. Chicken kebab and mixed grill platters are really good. Their fish, cooked to order and wonderful. The rice is somewhat dry but they provide yogurt and spicy sauces to add to the platters. The upstairs dining spaces are comfortable for small groups or larger parties. Their cafe with many dessert options is next door.
