The restaurant had an old, vintage feel. We walked in around 1 pm for lunch and wanted to order a slice of pizza with garlic bread and a sandwich. The guy at the front told us they didn’t have garlic bread or sandwiches, only pizza was available. We decided to get four slices of pizza. He put them in the oven for only 30 seconds before serving. Unfortunately, the pizza was tasteless and the worst I’ve ever had. Try at your own risk.

This man has absolutely 0 respect for women. Don’t eat here and give him your money. Gave me .2 sec to order when the group of men infront of men ran around grabbing drinks, ordering, talking and i patiently waited 6+ minutes. Than tried to give me the wrong pizza because I guess paying attention to the words of a girl is too much for him to comprehend. He also never even heated up my food, but I had already paid at that point so took it. Oh and he gave me a dirty look when I asked for a to go bag even though I asked before he rung me out. This is the only issue I had the two days stay in this city, and it’s really disappointing to have experienced this in such a progressive area. Do better.

Filippo's Famous Pizza has been a New Brunswick staple since 1972, and it's easy to see why. Their large, thin-crust pizzas are a classic for a reason. The dough is light and crispy, and the sauce is flavorful without being overpowering. The toppings are always fresh and plentiful.
However, while the pizza is good, it's not quite as exceptional as the hype would suggest. The flavors are a bit generic, and the crust can sometimes be a bit greasy. Additionally, the service can be slow, especially during busy times.
Overall, Filippo's Famous Pizza is a solid option for a casual pizza night. The pizzas are large and satisfying, and the prices are reasonable. However, if you're looking for the absolute best pizza in town, you may want to explore other options.

Ive ordered here many times and i’ve always gotten a large plain pizza. However this particular time, the Large plain pizza I received looks rather like a medium sized pie, even though the box has a written description as “1 LG PI” on it, and the pizza was very soggy. Not sure if Filipoes Pizza changed their pizza sizes or if they had messed up our order, anyways, i’d rate this order a 3/5 stars.

Fantastic pizza. I don't know how it's not packed constantly. We always get Filippo's and it's always a hit.
They do pies and by the slice.
Vegetarian options: It's a pizza place, plenty of veg pizza options.
Parking: It's a neighborhood place in an urban area.

I didn’t have high hopes when I walked in. It is an old school pizzeria and the decor fits. It has been here forever which I respect. The garden salad with chicken was lovely. The pizza unfortunately wasn’t great. It looked like it was sitting out for a while. Tasted old and flavor was lacking. 2.5 stars but I will bump to 3 based on the fact its been there forever.

Oddly silent restaurant. Lifeless employees and the pizza has no flavor. Cheese is like rubber. Not a fan.

We took a colleague from Manhattan to Filippo’s and he said that it was the best pizza he ever had. Can’t argue with that!Dough and Sauce are made fresh on the premises.

I planned to meet my family here for some pizza after they'd been on a long day out. I walked in at around 7.40pm to be met with stares from a staff member. The place was completely empty and they were mopping the floor. I was concerned they might be closed so I asked if it was possible for 3 of us to dine in. The staff member looked horrified and said "when are the others coming". I said "they are on their way from the station" (a 5 minute walk away). The advertised closing time was 8.30pm so there was plenty of time. The staff member shrugged and said ok in the most unfriendly way imaginable.I sat down to wait for my family and felt really uncomfortable. The staff members completely ignored me. I get that it's counter service but I was literally the only person there, it might have been appropriate to offer me some water or just acknowledge my existence. When my family arrived I realised I couldn't subject them to the terrible atmosphere so we went elsewhere. I have no idea why this place would say it was open until 8.30pm but not actually welcome diners. A huge disappointment!Just to add, the doors are really stiff so not great for disabled people, and the booths are very narrow. They do have alternative seating with tables and chairs near the windows.
