Have heard a lot a good things about this place for the Scary Good Eats App.. You definitely have to have a game plan if you want anything here. Parking is not fun since you are in the heart of Rutgers. You have to hope you can snag a spot out front. The place itself is very small, no indoor seating, just order and you are on your way. Was not a cheap lunch for 2 sandwiches and some fries. Around $50 I believe. The sandwiches were good. Got the basic Cheeseteak with the Cooper Sharp. It was an exact amount of meat and cheese to fill the roll, which was soft and fresh. Was a solid Cheeseteak. The fries were very good as well. I will go back, but not out of my way. Very Good job for a new business.

Love their firecracker cheesesteaks- so do my coworkers! The spice adds the right kick to it without being overbearing. And the ingredients are good quality

Context: For my cheesesteaks, I normally visit Angelo's (Philly), Lillo's (Mount Laurel), or Meatheadz (Lawrenceville). Heavyweights was advertised on a Facebook group so I figured I would try it since I was in the neighborhood on 11/23/2024. I ordered a cheesesteak, fries, and two chicken cheesesteaks for me and two guests. I did not like my cheesesteak. It was bland with low quality of meat. This meat was not "freshly shaved ribeye" as advertised on the menu. Respectfully, it was horrible and I would rate it far below 4.0... My two quests hated their chicken cheesesteaks and rated it even lower. We all agreed the bread was stale. I did not like the fries, but one of my guest said the fries were pretty good. Maybe this taste is normal in this part of town, but way below our standards. The food business is a tough endeavor and I do not want to discourage people from visiting this place since everyone has different taste buds. At the same time, this was our honest opinion and feedback.

I would like to start by saying .. I do NOT like cheesesteak … nor do I eat cheese🙅🏽‍♀️… yet I ordered the Firecracker cheesesteak with the pepper jack cheese 🤷🏽‍♀️…and it was 10 out of 10 🙌🏾 ! … the smash sauce is also a must have ..it goes well on the sandwiches and fries . An added bonus that I greatly appreciated was the store was nice enough to upgrade my first order to a full size sandwich instead of the half I ordered. Thank you for your kindness I will continue to support your business !

Hands down the best cheesesteak in town. Worth the wait or order ahead. Quality is definitely the goal of this establishment. Prices are unbeatable and competitive to surrounding locations although heavyweights is 10x better. Last but not least the customer service is always welcoming whenever I walk in. Heavyweights I wish you the best and much success.

The food was FABULOUS!! I ordered a full heavyweight. The bread was fresh and soft. The shaved beef was hot, fresh and extremely tasty!! And most important my food was delivered fast and with a smile. HEAVYWEIGHTS CHEESESTEAKS HAS A NEW CUSTOMER!! GOOD LUCK TO FUTURE ENDEVORS!!

Ordered two Philly cheese steaks classic, 2 for $7 sliders and two orders of fries( one Cajun). The Philly cheesesteaks had no flavor in the meat. Literally smelled like raw meat…4/10. The Cajun fries were OVER LOADED with Cajun seasoning. This made the fries too salty to even enjoy. Fries were just sitting on top of all that seasoning. This was terrible and gross as heck. The sliders seemed cool but the other food items are terrible in flavor. Thumbs down.
