I ordered online. They sent me a sticky pecan roll by accident. I’m deathly allergic to pecans. My eyes started to water and swell as soon as I opened the bag. My throat began to close as well. I understand accidents happen. But I Couldn’t get anyone on the phone to resolve the issue. Therefore I’m left with no other recourse than to send negative vibes. I hope for all bad things for this place and their staff. Bad days, bad nights, broken hearts, empty wallets, and allergic reactions.

$6.00 for a pistachio donut and it wasn’t that great. $6.00 for any donut is insane.

It's a cozy half underground café where you can spend some free time with your laptop. I got a honey bee latte and the cinnamon powder neutralized sweetness of honey pretty well. I wish that they have a better variety of bakery stuff.

Masala Chai is actually the chai Indians make at home, not the pseudo versions you have at cafes. They make the chai right in front of you in a chai pan ?Bombay sandwich and Avocado toast are a must to try.I visit New Brunswick for meetings, and this place a much drop in for breakfast and chai.

Listen y’all. This is by far the best lowfi coffee spot I’ve visited in New Jersey. It’s not rowdy at all and as soon as I walked in I was greeted with a smile, the customer service was so kind and felt like home. The lavender latte was beautiful and I never in my life have had better Avocado toast! Seriously, the savory avacado toast is a MUST TRY! Also THE MERCH! I’m obsessed. Definitely my new spot.

I was shocked when the price popped up for $7.50 for a medium latte. I was also shocked again when I saw how small the medium was. Again for a third time, I was shocked when the drink I received tasted completely different than the one I had received the day before (there were free drinks yesterday paid for by panel event, however i ordered the same thing). The price, sizing, and inconsistency are why I wont be coming back. However on a positive note, the inside is cute and the service was fast

This is easily the best coffee shop I’ve EVER been to. The vibes are immaculate, the coffee is delicious and the food was to die for. I came in when it was a little slower and being from out of town I asked if they could pick some drinks for me to try. They made me a hot lavender honey latte which was THE BEST coffee I have had in a while and then the iced rose chai which was also to die for! I ordered the savory avocado toast and hands down it will be how I make avocado toast until I die. The staff was absolutely amazing and incredibly friendly and they made this such a great experience.

Back in my RU days this was my favoriteeeee cafe. It's small, cozy, big tables, strong wife, and strong coffee. It is also the OG Hidden Grounds! So if you go to any of their other wonderful locations (Hoboken, JC, Brooklyn, even a little bit more down Easton Ave in NB) just know that this little *hidden* gem is where it all started. I've had everything from black coffee to tea to chai lattes over the years and it rarely disapoints. On my latest visit I was already on a caffeine surplus so I opted for a hot turmeric latte - just as lovely. I paired it with one of their rose donuts that I can never get enough of. It was a perfect weekday break. The baristas were kind and patient, as always! And the space is just as great as I remember, luckily for me just not as crowded. This is a can't miss in my opinion. Give them or their location, which is muchhhhhh more spacious, a try if you need a space to study, get work done and simply relax and catch up.

I've frequented both New Brunswick locations for about 6 years, not sure why it's taken me so long to leave a review. This is my favorite coffee shop to co work at. They have delicious vegan options for me which I don't come across often at other coffee shops. My favorite drinks have changed over the years but dirty chai, honey bee latte, and rose chai are my top 3. Staff are friendly but real. I enjoy the consistency in the business as a whole and look forward to being a regular for years to come.

This place has good coffee and food for sure. However, my only issue is, this is a cafe and I came across it because I read online people go here to have some coffee and do some work. However, the music is SO LOUD in this place, its like a club. They really need to lower the volume to a reasonable level because there are many times I just walked out because its insanely loud. You have to talk to them at FULL VOLUME in order for them to hear you because of how loud the music is. They advertise this as a cafe to come relax, do your work, have coffee and some snacks, but the atmosphere doesn't allow that. I would go more often if they can control their music volume.

Um... wow. This was a very pleasant meal. I ordered through uber eats i got a plain bagel with cream cheese, bombay sandwhich and a iced caramel cold brew. The bombay sandwhich was incredible, the chutneys were so so good, this sandwhich actually tastes very similar to the mediterranean sandwhich from panera bread before they changed the ingridients a few years ago, it used to be my favorite but ever since the change it's not anymore. but this bombay sandwhich was really really good!! It is pricey, but i see why it is. the ingridients are fresh, juicy and the price actually makes sense. For the cold brew it was actually a very nice surprise. I drink starbucks A LOT, due to the boycott i do not anymore. This cold brew is incomparable to the starbucks one. You can TELL it's good quality. tastes amazing!!! it's not bitter but it's not sweet either, i got it with oat milk. Next time i would add another pump of caramel but still it was so nice!! and lastly the bagel with cream cheese; i haven't ate it yet but i know it'll taste amazing! I've only heard good things about the bagels here. I can't wait to try more items from here soon! Great job.
