This restaurant was worth the wait! Pros- the Sticky Asian Ribs were amazing ab do also enjoyed the Seared Ahi Tuna. The server was pleasant and the ambiance was nice. Cons- the Boom Boom Shrimp batter was too heavy for my liking and I didn’t like the flavor. There’s no parking lot dedicated to the patrons so you have to lay a meter and mine didn’t work.

Nice restaurant with a good menu selection. The staff was knowledgeable and pleasant. The food was awesome and the service was prompt. The atmosphere was family friendly. Great beer, wine and cider selection.

I met a group of former co-workers for lunch on a quiet Thursday. I started a job in the area but had not visited. It's been here a long time and it's got a nice atmosphere and ambiance. Good spot for a cocktail afterwork or while watching a game. I ordered the Turkey club on rye bread with homemade potato chips, my co-workers had a large bowl of tomato soup with slices of grilled cheese, and a grilled chicken sandwich with French Fries. My Turkey club was amazing. Thick enough where you could not get your entire mouth around the sandwich. Outstanding! The potato chips were bland but the portion was very generous. My co-worker finished her bowl of tomato soup, assumed she like it, and my co-worker enjoyed his chicken sandwich with FF. The service was very good. We were in and out within an hour which is great if you are doing lunch on a timer. There is no street parking around and you'll probably park in a public lot. There was outside dining as well. Prices were very reasonable. I can't wait to go back.

Amazing food! Quick shout-out to our fantastic server, Rachelle, who friendly and expedient with a great attitude. We ordered tandoori shrimp, chicken Masala, spinach Paneer, samosas, and mango losses. Food was super rich, ultra-flavorful, and surprisingly fresh. The ambiance was excellent with a overall reddish tent, the walls seemed super modern, and a great bar. Definitely in the top three best Indian restaurants I've ever been to!

Our party of five had a relaxed and very enjoyable dinner here. It’s a casual bar / restaurant, serving a great range of traditional American fare in a variety of different settings - a bar area, a large comfortable dining room with some semi-private areas for small parties, and outdoor seating Ian a garden setting when the weather allows. The main dining area is relaxed, very contemporary and modern in feel, and with tables suitably spaced so you are not overhearing the conversations from other tables. Service was jolly, efficient, and attentive, without being overbearing or intrusive. We ordered the following dishes: the grilled salmon ($29); the chicken parmesan ($22), the meatloaf ($19) and the BBQ ribs ($22). Both members of our party who ordered the salmon said was fresh and nicely grilled; it was served with roasted red potatoes and seasonal vegetables. The chicken parmesan was succulent; the chicken breast was perfectly cooked and smothered in three cheeses, and accompanied by fettuccine. The meatloaf was full of flavour.; three generous slices were served, alongside creamy mash and peas and a tasty gravy. The BBQ ribs were a very substantial rack of slow-roasted baby back ribs, served with sweet potato fries. It’s not haute cuisine by any means, just a good standard of pub food. The menu is very comprehensive, with a vast selection of salads, burgers, sandwiches and substantial main courses. There's options for vegans and vegetarians. It’s a lively spot, especially on a Friday evening. Located on the corner of Albany Street Route 27 and George Street, Old Man Rafferty's in the heart of the city's corporate, theater districts, and the Rutgers University campus. We all enjoyed our dinner there, and it’s a restaurant to which I would return.

Service was good, ambience was nice, location was good, drinks were good but pricey. But the steak was relatively tasteless (although it was prepared medium-rare to perfection). The Greek salad left a great deal to be desired. Although all the veggies were fresh, it had no flavor ! When I prepare this salad at home, I use the best EVOO, fresh oregano, more salt, a ton of parsley, black olives, red onion & other seasonings (fresh lime, or lemon, or both) to MAKE AN IMPRESSION. Theirs didn't.

Went here for a work dinner while in the area. Huge menu with a wide variety of options. Food was pretty good. Nice drink selection.

We went to Old Man Rafferty's for a post-graduation celebration. There are a lot of choices on the menu. The food wasn't bad, but it wasn't the best either. They serve big portions. The restaurant wasn't very clean (especially the restroom), service was slow and unfriendly, lighting was very poor. They sat five of us at a very small table. We had to put glasses on the windowsill just to have enough room on the table for the food. It's okay for a quick bite, but I wouldn't pick it for a special occasion. Overall, I was disappointed.

Wow, what an excellent venue for dinner. Very nicely appointed. Staff was so attentive. Everyone was masked. I felt so comfortable eating here and the food was amazingly good. I had the summer scallops and I am not sure I have ever had a dinner that was any better. Just hoping that work brings me back to this area again very soon. I’ll be back.

Service was mediocre. Everything else was great! The space is cool and the impossible burger was delicious! I’m not from the area so I probably won’t be back but if I lived nearby, I would definitely frequent.

Stopped in for drinks and dessert. Froze was very good and went down very easily which is dangerous in a very good way. The tiramisu was very different than the usual more custard like not to my enjoyment. The peanut butter explosion was very good but is rich and thick. Definitely something to be shared.

Stopped by to have dinner on a Thursday night, and the place was quite busy, surprising during the virus scare week. But it became apparent that the locals like this place, and with good reason. The menu is very broad, and has a lot of comfort food dishes. I tried their spicey chicken sliders and found them to very tasty. The bar area is well laid out, and the servers were attentive. Prices were reasonable, and the atmosphere was very charming. Can't go wrong at this place.
