While the night started off lovely, the service turned abysmal pretty quickly. We got our drinks then our appetizer, but when we asked for more crostini to finish our appetizer we had to ask three different servers to receive them and too many minutes later. We tried to order wine before the dinner course arrived and our server forgot the one that was already ordered and only when the manager caught my eye did we get the rest. One who just reordered what she already had was brought the wrong wine. Given all the frustration we had already experienced, our server apologize saying that dessert was on the house. What that actually meant was only one dessert we ordered was on the house, and it took 10 minutes just to get the dessert menus then 25 minutes to get the one warm dessert we ordered and 35 minutes to get the cold desserts. We told the staff repeatedly we had a show to get to. Eventually we had to ask the manager to refund the cold desserts because by the time they finally arrived we had to leave. We never really received a recognition of how they dropped the ball over and over again, which made an otherwise tasty meal very stressful and ultimately unpleasant.

I had an amazing experience here. A waiter by the name of Chris was very attentive and had amazing recommendations. Even the cheapest steak was amazing. The drinks were superb, so whoever was working the bar on 9/19 deserves some praise.

We went to Stage Left for my husband's birthday. From the moment we walked in until we said goodnight, our experience could not have been better. It seemed the entire restaurant staff took care of us and were so attentive, we felt like celebrities. The food was excellent, the ambiance was perfection. We were full at the end of our meal so we declined dessert and went with coffee instead. Our server brought out a gelato/sorbet sampler with "happy birthday" written in chocolate - on the house. She said although we said we were full, she wanted us to have a little something and try her favorite dessert! While it was our first time dining at Stage Left, it will not be our last! Highly recommend - you feel like you are at a steakhouse in the city!

Best veal scalloping I've ever had! Pear salad was excellent and spinach side terrific. Never get good garlic bread till tonight. Best I ever had in years. Just a lovely delicious dinner. A bit too noisy for me but the food was amazing

EXCELLENT BDay dinner for my teenage son! The food was incredibly delicious; melt in your mouth filet mignon and the best NY Strip, both enhanced by the Himalayan salt block experience. The service was impeccable and kindly accommodating for a special diet I need to follow. They overheard us talking and as such brought a gluten-free chocolate molten cake for the celebration. Highly recommend for a FANTASTIC MEAL and evening!!!

Welcoming, comfortable atmosphere with excellent service. The presentation of the food is thoughtful, but the flavors are the breadwinner. Locally grown fresh tomato caprese, aged cheddar on the burger, a cheese plate after dinner… and an ice cream sampler to boot. Highly recommended, will be back again (and soon!).

This was a fabulous dinner with amazing service. Everyone was very attentive and all of our needs were met. I really enjoyed all of the courses but the caprese salad with fresh tomatoes from NJ was absolutely divine as was the raspberry sorbet.

Food was amazing. Stage left burger is the best burger I’ve ever had. I highly recommend! Waters were constantly being filled, and waitress recommended combinations of food that were delicious.

Phenomenal! We were married ant Stage Left and we decided to go back last night. I made a reservation and said it was our 3rd anniversary, they not only sat us in the same spot we sat in our wedding night but they made customized menus for us. I cried the entire dinner. The attention to detail, was unlike ann experience we have had before. Almost every staff member congratulated us and we even had some that were there from our wedding. The food is out of this world, The burger has been voted the best in NJ for years. Just go.I

The ceasar salad & stuffed clams were excellent, and the filet mignon trio was perfect cooked & also excellent, the server & mgr, and also asst.'s were all impeccable in their service, would definitely return!
