I ordered from this place so many times, and every single time they have an attitude problem. They are not just rude — they are genuinely mean. At first, I ignored it because the food was okay. But the way the girl (not the younger one) acted with me today was the last straw. First, I ordered one thing and got something completely different. I asked for a roll I had before but forgot the name of, so I explained what it was. She asked me at least 100 times if it was a cold roll, and 100 times I answered yes and explained that it was fully cold. And guess what I got? A hot roll.
Then, when I asked about another roll that looked different from before, she aggressively pointed at the sign behind her like I was some kind of child. What the heck?
The other rolls were not as good as they used to be either.

Excellent service and consistently delicious food. I’ve ordered takeout from here several times, and every meal has been outstanding. Today I decided to stop in for a solo lunch, and it was such a great experience. The lunch box was generous with plenty of food, the miso soup was especially delicious, and they even offered complimentary ice cream at the end, which was a lovely touch. The staff were warm, friendly, and attentive throughout my visit. I highly recommend this place and will definitely be returning.

This is THE BEST sushi in Bergen County, hands down! Maybe in all of NJ... I've been eating sushi for over 30 years and have never found a restaurant with fresher, thicker cut sushi rolls, more delicious combinations of the freshest fish, tasty sauces, and interesting ingredients put together in the most beautiful presentations on the plate... They are incredibly creative with their special rolls, you will experience so much taste variety you'll have to become a repeat customer like I have for over several years now...The servers are kind and so happy to see us they make the whole experience warm and easier to pay the bill (none of this perfection comes cheap so be prepared to spend more money for excellence!!!)

Hella crowded and it’s a Tuesday, the specialty roll #30 is an avocado roll with warm salmon and what looks like a Kani salad over everything. All the other rolls were mediocre nothing stood out.

After hearing so much praise from fellow acquaintances, I decided to put in a take out order for lunch on a weekday. I used their website to submit the order. I ordered an eel avocado, a tempura roll, and a bulgogi bento box.
Upon arriving at the store, I saw they had a small dining place with few tables. But the setup was cozy and cute. My was ready and a staff member handed to me right away. I loved the sushi rolls. They had solid quality rice and all other ingredients. Miso soup was delicious. The bulgogi bento box also had excellent beef, alongside rice, dumplings and edamame. I was impressed by their food and look forward to ordering more lunch meals from the restaurant.

I had a party for 49 people and ordered different type of food from different restaurants, but let me tell you… Sushi Story was by far the biggest hit. Everyone asked me where was it from… I am not a big fan of take out sushi, but this one was just outstanding.
Highly recommended, specially if you need it for a party… you will thank me later.
Btw- I meant to take pictures at the party but everyone just jumped on it before I could even try.

Some of our favorites are the seared salmon sushi (melts in your mouth), spicy bluefin tuna roll, white dragon roll and more. Amazing service and everyone is friendly. Definitely 💯 recommend 👌🏼

Over the last six months, I have become a regular at Sushi Story, and it has never failed to impress me. From the moment I walk in, the welcoming atmosphere is evident. The staff, particularly the waitresses, are incredibly polite and always greet me with cheerful smiles.
The sushi itself is a delight. Each visit, I explore different flavors, and every bite seems to surpass the last in taste. The sushi is consistently fresh, and the portions are just right. The menu offers a wide array of flavors, ensuring there's something for everyone to enjoy.
This place has become such a favorite of mine that I introduced it to my family, who reside in Yonkers, NYC. They are so enamored with Sushi Story that they now make the journey every weekend to indulge in its culinary delights.
In my view, Sushi Story stands out as the best sushi restaurant in the area, and I can't imagine any other place surpassing it!

Definitely my most favorite Japanese restaurant ever. This is my go to place for sushi. I've been here so many times and will continue to come back. The food is always fresh, high quality, and delicious. It doesn't matter which roll you get - all of them taste really good. The service is exceptional. The waiters are super friendly. The restaurant itself is pretty small and tends to get packed especially on weekends and during dinner time. But worth waiting to get a table or getting take out.
