I flew back from Mexico ! And decided to stop there yesterday for food . Rice was very dry and chicken seemed very old . And tough. Was pleased with the owner energy . But for 80$ for 2 chicken and jollof rice 2 fufu and peanut soup that was very greasy . Microwaved my food to much ! But I love supporting . I just won’t be coming back thanks for the experience . Fufu was not home made

Couple weeks ago, I tried Asanka’s Jollof and waakye😋 it was very tasty and flavorful. I have never tasted waakye before but after I tasted it, it was wonderful. The atmosphere is very friendly, the service is excellent, and the foods are amazing😍 Would definitely be going back there again 🤩

I decided to pop in and grab some supper since I was in the area after work. I was eager to sample African cuisine for the first time because I had never eaten any before! I got the jollof rice with chicken, and I have no words to express how wonderful it was. For me, Michael and his sister prepared a delicious meal that was generously portioned. If you're ever in the area, you should certainly check out this eatery! Overall, 5/5 😀

Amazing experience. Food was so tasty and who I think was the owner was very sweet. We got fufu and egusi/spinach and it was so good! The goat and cow skin was tender and seasoned very well.

Haven’t even tried the food yet but I had to come on here and rave about Joyce! She was the most pleasant person, she made my son and I feel so welcomed and she explained everything with such kindness. It felt like I was going to a family’s house for dinner. Truly amazing experience so happy we came here!

This is my third time eating here and the food is delicious, you can tell it is made with love yesterday the chef came to meet me with my order he even called me to make sure it was okay to serve my soup with fufu. I had the peanut butter soup with goat and the meat was so tender and the spice was perfect even my picky eating daughter loves it.

Restaurantji Recommends
I accidentally ordered from this restaurant again on Uber Eats, forgetting that I had already had a terrible in-person experience here — and unfortunately, nothing has changed.
The egusi was made with spinach, which is not traditional and was not disclosed anywhere on the menu. This is misleading for customers ordering authentic African food. The jollof rice was caked together, the rice quality was poor, and the entire meal was severely under-seasoned.
Most concerning, the chicken was undercooked. After eating only a small portion, I became ill and vomited three times. This is a serious food-safety issue.
I previously visited this restaurant in person with a friend, took only two bites of the food, paid, and left because it was inedible. Unfortunately, I unknowingly ordered from the same restaurant again — and the quality was just as bad, if not worse.
I also find it concerning that this restaurant has an unusually high number of 5-star reviews, all of which receive immediate replies from the owner, despite the business claiming to be operated by one person with limited staff. This raises legitimate concerns about the authenticity of those reviews.
This restaurant misrepresents its food and delivers unsafe, extremely poor-quality meals. I strongly do not recommend ordering from here.
