Eh the shrimp was hard. Like I’ve never eaten fried shrimp that wasn’t even chewable. Mac and cheese, greens and fries were good. Corn bread dry and whiting was flavorful but not exactly crispy and flaky. Wings were good.
The food here is AMAZING! The first time I went, I had the Turkey wings with baked mac and cheese, candied yams, and potato salad, and it was like Thanksgiving in the spring! It was SOOOO good. I'm ashamed to say that I have been eating here every weekend since then (and that was March of 2021). The food was fantastic. I had the j*** chicken, baked mac and cheese, and yellow rice. It came with cornbread also. Everything was delicious. Perfectly seasoned, flavorful, perfect bit of spicy heat. My wife got the whiting, collard greens and mac & cheese. She said everything was great. She said the collards were very spicy, but she has a low heat threshold.Highly, highly recommended! Got it delivered to Montclair and it was still warm.
