Not only did my girlfriend find this place on the way to Newark. It’s excellent for events at the Prudential center monster truck rally, especially I will left my wallet in this place and the staff Ryan especially was extremely helpful in making great food finding my wallet and mailing it to me. It’s a great team here. It’s a true business Great people highly recommend thank you.

Wow! My kalbi bbq bow (spicy pork) was smoky, savory, sweet, and YuMmY! Also had a great teriyaki shrimp bowl and kimchi. Perfect dinner before walking to NJPAC.

The owner and worker were really sweet. Despite it being empty it definitely deserves more customers. I am from NYC however, if I could I would come every day. AMAZING prices as well!

Really cozy Korean food spot. The food is good and the place is cute. It reminds me of an old school diner .

We were recommended to come here by a sales rep at the Genesis store in Hudson Yards. He said it was the best, so we had to come try it. 10/10

Attended an event at NJPAC and was looking for a quick bite and found BugolgiZip. It was very quiet on a Sunday night. We were the only table. It’s not the best Korean but I enjoyed my kimchi stew and my daughter enjoyed the bone broth soup. I felt like the bulgogi meat was a bit tough. Overall worth it for a quick bite in Newark.

Portions not worth the price at all. You’re told the dish comes with vegetables and the picture shows a good portion size, but when you get the dish, you’re only given 2 pieces. When you call, there’s nothing they can do for you except tell you they’re sorry. Will not be returning.

Recently ordered through Uber eats. Absolutely awful experience.
- The kimchi pancakes tasted rancid to our entire party and the portion was surprisingly small.
- The rice cake dish that arrived was mostly liquid (very watered down) and came with very little rice cakes, with terrible taste and consistency (very mushy, not chewy).
- The tofu stew arrived half full, tasted watered down, and was missing the ramen I had ordered to go with it.
- To add insult to injury, it was also much more expensive than our regular Korean food spots, but we wanted to branch out.
- every single dish was too cold and needed to be heated. This obviously ruins some of the food like the chicken and the pancakes

I genuinely am left to wonder if they sent us leftover food, diluted with water, from a customer who dined in their restaurant? They then did not respond to any of our phone calls to try to remediate the issue. Would recommend avoiding this place.

Ordered through GrubHub. Everything was packed very well and in a way to keep it all warm, which is much appreciated.

But the bulgogi beef is not what I would consider typical bulgogi beef. Bulgogi beef is typically full of flavor with a sweetness and a spiciness to every piece and is typically made from thinly sliced and marinated ribeye or sirloin. I’m guessing this is made from some cut of beef from the chuck by the way some of my pieces were almost flaking and others were large slices. It was tender but didn’t have much flavor, even when doused in their gochujang sauce. Every time I have bulgogi beef I’m left wanting more, but unfortunately not this time.

I also got fried beef dumplings which were very good. Nice and crispy with juicy beef inside. Would definitely recommend those.

If I’m in town again I would probably give this place another try, maybe with the bibimbap next time though.
