We went to a Valentine’s Dinner here. The food was excellent. The dessert not so much - why I gave it 4/5 stars, but appetizer and entree delicious. I also had their St. Germaine Spritz, so good. Reminded me of a drink I loved back in Italy called Hugo Spritz.
Very modern design inside, clean and the waitress was great. Very sweet but polite and professional.

Pizza was good. Tried the fried shrimp , we enjoyed it. The best part about the experience was the wonderful tattooed woman, she had exceptional service skills. The guy waiter needs some lessons in hospitality.

I went here one evening with my friends for dinner and this place was beautifully decorated! The staff were so helpful and kind. The food was even better! I really enjoyed my evening at this restaurant and I will definitely be back!

We had wings, pizza, the braised pork and crispy chicken sandwich to share amongst the table. Each dish that came out was 11/10 wow. Great drinks and local beer, can’t say enough. Wish I lived closer
Pleasant surprise in Newark Staff - they were very friendly and very attentive. Even though we didn’t order any special drinks, our water glass was never more than a quarter empty. They were also quick to get our order and kept checking in on our table even as the restaurant got full.
Food - I ordered the gem salad and the tomato pie. Both were exceptional. The salad was light crispy, and bright. I would probably say there’s a little bit too much vinegar for my taste but still very good. The tomato pie pizza was phenomenal a thin crust pizza with great tomato sauce.
Ambiance - beautiful decor that is warm and cozy. Even though it was full, you were still able to have a conversation with a person in front of you.
I would definitely go back again.

First, the service was awesome. The young lady who served us behind the bar was fabulous. Super nice, engaging, and very professional.
Second, the restaurant is delightful. Very homey and inviting. Great place to hang out with a group or just by yourself.
Third the food. The food was good. In my opinion way overpriced but I understand because of products right now are just out of control expensive. A side salad should not be $20. The pasta I had was salty. But the amount of black pepper was quite nice. The salad my friend ordered for dinner was OK. Again for the amount of money she spent it could’ve been a little nicer. My last cocktail had too much elderflower therefore I couldn’t finish it. But that’s not a big deal.
Overall, the place is really cool. I would go back. Please check it out. A husband and wife are the owners, which is a huge plus in my book. I hope they have many years of success!

Impossibly charming with an extensive cocktail menu to boot, this restaurant was an unexpected highlight of our layover in Newark! We were staying at an airport hotel and looking for a place that wasn’t fast food for dinner, and Burke’s checked all the boxes: They have a great menu artisan pizzas, handmade pastas and other entrees like branzino with an excellent selection of whiskeys, wines and craft cocktails. The restaurant was less than 10 minutes by Uber from all the airport hotels.
Delicious food and ambiance is 💯 too. Gabriel was super super nice and helpful, took care of our table and was so personable, would go back for sure ✨

First I want to speak about the food the food was absolutely one of the best I tasted around the place the service the girl who served us was very cheerful and she was totally polite and everything was on top
after we finish and pay and get out to take some picture we surprised and find out the chef is following us and looking for us and she started to shout on the front of the door because we wouldn’t leave a tip!!! We explained for her that we are not allowed to do tip from our credit cards because it’s a business cards and she keeps saying that you can’t just pay and go without doing the tip and she was shouting and angry and absolutely we both me and my friend we were very afraid because of her aggressive attitude I don’t believe that such a perfect food and great atmosphere and service with this chef is mixed together went out shouting and telling us to pay a tip and when I ask her is that an obligation and she said yes it is an obligation Unfortunately I would recommend for anyone who would like to visit this place to be careful from the team and their attitude and behaviors

As soon as you walk into this gorgeous restaurant the vibes just call for one of their perfectly prepared old fashions or espresso martinis. The dishes at Burke’s are always freshly prepared, the chef accepts modifications to any dish to accommodate dietary restrictions. I always enjoy the warm salad prepared with in season vegetables, which is normally served as a side to meat entrees but delicious on it’s own.

Currently sitting here about to check out as I write this review. That is how great this experience was.
I came in solo, and able to see the restaurant shift from the Sunday afternoon crowd into the evening.
Great service from everyone around, attentive, knowledgeable about the menu and bad suggestions when asked. Everything I ordered was delicious!!!!!!
As I’m writing I overheard someone say “that was good pizza!”
I didn’t try the pizza but now I’m even more excited to.
I had the Bangkok shrimp. Nicely breaded and fried. Good crisp. Juicy and the lemon juice has a nice touch.
The golden beet salad was DELIGHTFUL. Great flavors every single ingredient. The mint dressing, beets, mandarins to pistachios!
Oh my god the blueberry cheesecake is perfect. Beautiful presentation, good portion, creamy with nice graham crust- the blueberries were yummy!
Even the black raspberry ice cream was amazing!
I can’t wait to return!!!
