I stopped by this restaurant at the airport because they claimed to make fresh tortillas. I even saw someone making them by hand, so I was excited to try them. I specifically asked for corn tortillas, but they gave me flour instead. When I pointed it out, they just said “that’s all we have” — even though I could literally see another person making corn tortillas right there.
If you’re going to advertise fresh, authentic tortillas, at least be honest about what you’re serving. Definitely not the experience I expected.

Last Friday night I was connecting in Newark from Quebec to Phoenix and decided to have chicken tacos with onions.. less than a hour later, I started throwing up and would keep throwing up for the vast majority of the 4.5 hour flight.. I felt much better when I met EMS at PHX and declined transport to the hospital.. in short, if you don't want food poisoning, I recommend another place!

Thursday 11th of september around 1:30 pm2025 and afroamaerican young man (sorry I didn’t register his name) was very unfriendly and pushy. He made me wait to serve a staff member and I thought okay but then he was chatting with that member in my face even with the manager coming. Once the managwr asks me if I am ready I mentioned that the manager coming asked me to wait and he audaciously asks me if I am ready too. After ordering I had a carry on and a backpack and a strollee while holding a straw and a glass bottle. He tells me the food is ready and I said okay thank you. Then I am struggling to get to my chair to my husband and son who he saw earlier. He again insists on me going to the other side of the counter to collect the food and I showed him my hands and said I don’t have a third hand. He gets upset and says I am only letting you know. Furthermore two tacos we order were cold! Not coming back, unfriendly staff!

My connecting flight was at gate A15 in Newark airport. I stopped for breakfast which was delicious!! I got the brisket, egg and cheese. The brisket was smokey and very flavorful & the jalapeño green sauce, cilantro and other toppings just brought it to the next level. The restaurant next to Carlitos was charging $20-$25 for breakfast so it feels like a steal that I got my delicious breakfast for less than $10.
They have seating with outlets do you can charge your phone; very convenient since I’m at an airport & my power drained during my first flight.
