So, each time i eat at an Italian place or a sandwich shop , I usually get the meatballs . This place has one of the best meatball subs i've eaten in my life. The sandwich came with at least 4 giant meatballs , I ate half and i was full . The other half i ate in Porto Portugal. It's too bad , I couldn't find this place anywhere else. I am literally dreaming of this sandwich.

I have to agree with the majority, this deserves the terrible terrible ratings. I got an Italian sub and the eggplant was gray and soggy, the meat was tough and hard to bite through. There was so much oil on it it was dripping everywhere. I ate half of it and regret it. All that for $20, and poor service.

Terrible food terrible service. We asked for a sandwich with mayonnaise and mustard. They didn’t put any mayonnaise or mustard on the sandwich, and when we went back, they refused to fix it, telling us they were too busy. Trash service trash food. Oh yeah, $20 for nothing.

I ordered the Italian sandwich and didn’t enjoy it at all. The meat was chewy, the bread was dry, and the eggplant/brinjal inside was disgusting. I had to remove it from the second half of the sandwich just to make it somewhat edible

Absolutely pathetic. I ordered “The American” with extra ham. The menu lists ham or turkey, provolone, lettuce, tomato, mayo. After waiting over half an hour, I got my sandwich. Sat down on the plane and opened up stale bread, with two measly pieces of ham and no cheese. $23.99, never again.

First of all, there is no sense of urgency to make the sandwiches in a timely manner. The woman had an attitude and kept slamming everything, even the customers next to me would talk about it. Third the food is like gas station food but the prices are outrageous. Avoid this place!

Ordered a simple sandwich, woman making it added a bunch that i didn’t ask for. When i came up to talk to her about it she grabbed it, put her fingers all through it, yelled at me saying it’s not wrong even though i clearly didn’t order the extras on it and then threw it in the trash without saying another word. I just had to wait there to see if she would remake it. She eventually did, but made me wait a while for it

Total rip-off. Paid $20 for a sandwich that barely had any turkey, and they didn’t even serve the wheat bread I ordered—even though that’s what they advertise. Honestly, one of the worst places to grab food in Newark. Save your money and go somewhere else.

I should have read the reviews which are consistently bad and consistent with my bad experience. 20$ for a very bad sandwich. What a waste of money....bad bread, bad meat, just bad all over. At least they made it fast.

Incredibly overpriced (not surprising at airport) and amazingly disappointing deli sandwich. Go to the Philly cheesesteak spot instead

This entire food court is a racket. WAYYY over priced and under-quality food. This sandwich was $20 by itself. No paper receipts even by request. They MUST capture your cell number to text you one. Slow, attitudes, the works. I'll go hungry next time. Not even kidding!

Oof! Even after adjusting for airport food standards, this is so bad. Just terrible, terrible sandwiches.... the stale sesame bread for my gabagool sandwich was so off-putting. It took forever for them to make the sandwich, making me question whether they even knew what they were doing. The order system adds the tip automatically which seems very unethical. Very unsanitary... the service folks wear gloves but they touch everything with them on and never swap out for new ones, yuck!

No sense of urgency. Expensive. Unsanitary products. Woman making the food was speaking in another language on one AirPod and not answering customer questions (ex: where can I find silverware?). They are using one knife to cut each line of sandwich, without sanitizing in between. No changing of gloves, either. Please take this place out of EWR.
