turkey wings were raved about so i ordered them. they were not tender at all- i actually had to fight to bite the meat off. the greens were decent, mac and cheese had good texture but was sweet...
Staff were nice and their bathroom was clean. Many people were waiting on one item to be finished before their order was complete.
This is a good place for people that have little to no experience eating soul food from the south. as a Texan native.... i digress

All the food is delicious here but the catfish meal with the mac and cheese, and candy yams with cornbread is the bomb!!! The pretty black cashier, Jazzmen recommended the catfish meal and she was right, season and cooked to a perfection!!

Kim is awesome. And I didn’t get the other lady’s name. But she was so kind. Even when I was doing Uber Eats, the way they handle their clients is second to none. In addition to the great food, the environment is bold and yet very comfy. Very Chic.
Parking: Sometimes could get tricky with parking because you are located downtown next to city hall. But so worth a city fine if received while waiting. But trust me, you won’t wait long for good home cooked meals.
