Your facility will be held accountable for the death of the inmate that died last night under the watchful eye of your staff. You are trying to cover up the incident due to your staff's lack of supervision and incompetence. Always remember, no matter what inmate you have locked in your facility, trust and believe, they have families who love them. Shame on your facility for the lack of empathy and dishonest disposition toward human life.It's time for your facility to make changes or shut down. How many more people need to lose their life under your unwatchful eyes.

Resident re-entry facility Delaney Hall [Newark] is only allowing video visitation, whereas right across the parking lot, Essex County Correctional Facility detainees are allowed live, at-window visitations with their loved ones? What someone needs to do is fix them phones in there....I just don’t understand if your love one can’t have visits due to the pandemic why wouldn’t they make sure the phones are in good working conditions. I personally spend to much money on phone calls just for them to be filled with static....totally unacceptable!!!!!

Contact visit staff was nice I'll take it over county anytime
I called twice today spoke with two different female operators employees. I asked to leave a message for an inmate being released since he had no way to contact me. The first lady told me to contact the Essex County jail..the jail said no because I was not asking for information and I am the emergency contact. I called back the second female actually caught an attitude and said I called the day before I advised her that was not me. She almost yelled and said they don't speak with the residences or give messages. I advised her I am the emergency contact and she continued with the attitude. I'm sure my family member has a counselor. I could have spoken with that counselor and they could have given him a message. Now my family member has no way of knowing my phone broke and he will be released in 10 degree weather. Not being able to contact your family in case of emergency should be unacceptable especially among release and to have someone give you attitude just shows the type of people that work there. Disgusting unprofessional behavior.

Very bad rehabilitation center. There's more drugs in there than on the street. It's located right across the street from a garbage dump. The smell in the air, especially in the summer, is absolutely rancid. Mostly prisoners are the population of this rehabilitation center. Would not recommend going there on your own to kick a drug habit.
