As much as I love supporting my own people. This was not authentic Jamaican food. I was very disappointed and felt robbed! I tried the oxtail patty and stew chicken with white rice. All werent Jamaican, oxtail patty was soggy and don’t have a crust. Stew chicken was not very good and the rice was very sub par.

Jerk Chicken done right!!! Seasoning very tasty, not overwhelmingly hot but just right.Food was served with Great Conversation and a Smile! Not too pricey either.Bonus: The Mac & cheese was honestly delicious. I don’t know what special stuff was in there but it was“Amazingly Delicious”…. I can’t wait to try the rest of the menu when I return to Newark!

Got a Roti dry as hell no taste also who put peppers in a Roti yuck also got a chicken patty with bones in it and red and green peppers Yuck. vegetable Patty Also had a bone in it. The oxtail dinner the oxtails meat coming off the bone. That is good the plantain was under cook the rice no flavor and for a large plate I got maybe 4 oxtails Horrible never again will I go to this place?

Bought a small Oxtail with rice and peas, cabbage and plaintains. This is the most bland oxtails I've ever had in life this far. No taste whatsoever. A heavy emphasis on NO TASTE!Cabbage was soggy and tasteless. The only thing decent in this 20 dollar plate was the plaintains. Oxtail is very expensive as it is. Please hire a chef that is actually from the carribean to cook it.

I've eaten here before a while back, so I came in expecting a similar service as before. Service wasn't terrible, but staff didn't seem to want to be there honestly & they weren't welcoming much at all. Food was mid. Alright enough to eat because I was hungry, but lacked the flavor that you'd expect from a Caribbean restaurant which was even more disappointing than the service. Little to no flavor at all really. The max & cheese was good, but the rice & peas were bland, stew chicken was dry & the cabbage was undercooked in my opinion. Would like to maybe give them another try considering some of the other reviews, but definitely wouldn't go out of my way to come back here...

The owner and Eric are friendly and awesome. I've been here 3 times and the food is truly so delicious! My first dish was the saltfish with cabbage and Good God was it amazing! Today I ordered twice because even the vegetables alone are so good!!Vegetarian options: The vegetarian options are so delicious. My favorites are the cabbage and sauteed vegetables!Dietary restrictions: I'm gluten and dairy intolerant but the owner prepares the food in a way that I have more options without sacrificing flavor.

Ordered here for lunch and got the oxtails …Terrible. Rice over cooked, mushy and disgusting. How do you mess up rice? Plain tains were burnt. Coworker and I tried to give it the benefit of the doubt but immediately felt sick after eating. The j*** chicken was dry. Cabbage was soupy. Smh And one of the male employees has a bad attitude. They served Four disgusting small oxtails for close to $20. Yuck!!! Believe the reviews and don’t eat here unless you wanna be sick. Weird taste after just one bite. Very disappointing. Food is not fresh at all.Never again i felt like i had hair in my throat after eating. This place needs to be reported.
