Ate here last night after seeing a performance at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center. We absolutely loved it!! Was a quick walk from the theater. The servers were great. So kind and gave great recommendations. The bar tender girl was also so sweet. They all sang happy birthday to me with a candle on my dessert. The menu had so many options and the food and drinks were just delicious! We all enjoyed the calamari, it was cooked perfectly and so different and delicious in the chili sauce. We also all loved our entrees, chicken piccata, salmon & chicken alfredo were a hit. We will definitely coming back anytime we are in this area! Highly recommend

Highly recommend Dutch's when in the NJ PAC area. Our waiter Felix was as good a waiter as we have seen. Bartender Jason stopped by our table several times as it was quiet for a Friday night, regulars out trick or treating with families.
We split a delicious scallops wrapped in bacon with rosemary appetizer, served sizzling. Entrees were chicken tacos and a smash burger, both exceptional.
Can't wait to return.

My wife and I really enjoyed our bar experience while staying at the Tryp. Our bartenders Jason and Elvis were the best! So polite and great conversations. Definitely stop in if you are in the area!

Stopped in for lunch with a colleague and was blown away. I’m a serious burger critic, and this was easily one of the best I’ve had—perfectly cooked and packed with flavor. The sweet potato fries were a great bonus—crispy and just the right amount of sweet. Definitely coming back!

Was visiting Newark and stopped at Dutch’s for a quick drink before our city tour. Jason the bartender was amazing and treated my family with so much care. Lovely experience :)
Tried to get some dinner and they closed 2hrs before advertised time. Incredibly rude / unhelpful staff. Cute atmosphere and decor but staff sucked.
Rude unhelpful staff. They close earlier than advertised. They have a poster calling themselves a top 14 bar in Newark, so I guess this entire city is horrible.
The food was truly delightful, and it was heartwarming to be in such a beautiful restaurant. The atmosphere felt so serene and peaceful, creating an inviting space that made the experience even more special.

Happy to see other people recognize Jason (SP?) here. He's the bartender, and really does an exceptional job. I was coming through town on a solo trip, and he made an otherwise lonely night at the bar feel like I was visiting with old friends.
Great and special.
The MENU is not An All day MENU.
Our original review was two stars. We were staying at this hotel, so we gave Dutch’s another chance. = Jason at the bar, made the best Irish Coffee we’ve ever had - made fresh whipped cream too. Thank you Jason! We ordered a flat bread pizza and shrimp tacos, both good.
Breakfast = Hard pass. Might be because we came in towards the end of service - but - the food was underwhelming. I had French toast, that was so hard, I gave up on cutting it. Scrambled eggs were dry, bagels was so hard we didn’t bother with them.
Coffee was good. Service was good.
Jason on the bar makes a fabulous Irish Coffee!
