Firehouse Subs Newark Liberty Airport

Don’t go to this one if you are in a rush. We waited our order for almost 30 minutes. You could see three people are preparing the orders but none is done.

Staff were great. They were busy working, but the management needs work. Took him long enough to realize his skeleton crew was struggling with orders. Waited 35 minutes for my sandwich and had to leave without it to not miss my flight. 😭😭 I did appreciate watching the employee dude pump out like 20+ sandwiches in that time all alone.

Honestly it was pretty good. I got the brisket and cheddar. A bit overpriced but not ridiculously so. They forgot to give me my pickle wedges, but I didn't care to go back and ask for them.

I got horrible food poisoning from a veggie sub. I was deathly ill for my entire 6 hour flight home. For me to get that sick from a sub sandwich with no meat in it, something must definitely be wrong with how food is being stored or handled here.

The food tasted good, but what you get is ridiculous. My oatmeal was literally 4 bites for $9. The sandwiches were 1/2 of a sandwich for $9. So, about 4 bites as well. They don't call out your name or number, so if you aren't standing in front of them, it will sit there. The tables were disgusting. Keep in mind that I rarely do a negative review. This needs to change. Firehouse subs isn't hurting for money. Your sign literally says it's a large sub. 😆

Unbelievably slow. I ordered online. It didn't save time. It took 20 minutes to get my sub sandwich. Then, they didn't get my order right.

Don't fall for it. The portion sizes are ridiculously small. The attached photo was $10! Service slow and unresponsive.
And have to go through way too many attempts to upsell at the kiosk. Not impressed.

Worst place to waste your money. All the Staff is extremely rude and working as if they are doing a favor to the owner or customer for the work.

Don’t go here for sandwiches you can choose to buy something else from other stores. If you buy you will regret that decision.

Let the owner of this store realize that this location needs to hire people who genuinely want to work.

Solid sub for an airport and how crowded they were. Pretty fast and the staff were very nice, friendly and helpful. Would definitely be interested in visiting a non airport branch.

Wow, what a disappointment. I usually have good subs at firehouse. I grabbed the sub just before hopping on a plane at terminal B at Newark airport and what disgusting mess. I got a bunch of fat. I felt like I was eating a mutton sandwich. Look at the photo you could see barely through a quarter of the sandwich and I have a pile of stuff off to the left that just couldn’t eat at all. Huge disappointment.

The wait was long, the service was slow and we got skipped. The cheddar brisket sandwich was delicious. Everything was pricey.
