Bought steak and cheese. Lady said they ran out of steak and to pick something else. I kindly just asked for my money back since it was all i wanted. She didn’t want to so all of the sudden they had the steak and she made me the sandwich uncooked and half raw. i ate some and could not stomach it. I unsurprisingly got food poisoning. -10000/10 do not recommend. buy food somewhere else not here. i just wanted my money back especially since “there was no more steak”. $20 just to not be able to eat it.

I’ll gladly tell you to avoid this spot. I had a really disappointing experience at this location. I ordered a steak sandwich for about $17. I ate half and noticed the sandwich was actually missing the entire bottom half of the bread. I went back to the store shortly after to explain the situation and ask for either a replacement or a refund. Instead of trying to help, the employee was rude and dismissive. I then spoke to the manager, who told me there was “nothing they could do,” which honestly made the situation worse. They couldn’t even add some bread to the sandwich. I’ve ate a few times here broke and never had any issues. However, this is the only time I ever had a problem and they refused to help out in any way. This place isn’t even all that. There is no options really in this building when it comes to food. If it’s gonna be overpriced at least have something come out of the bargain. Even if they made it right, portions are clearly insane for what I’m paying for. Overpriced slop. I understand mistakes can happen, but refusing to fix a clearly incorrect order is unacceptable, especially at this price point. I paid for a full sandwich and didn’t receive one, and the lack of customer service made it even more frustrating.
I won’t be returning to this location. I’ll also be reaching out to corporate because this isn’t how customers should be treated.

Firehouse Subs at Newark Airport is a solid quick stop before a flight. The sandwiches are hot, filling, and the portions are generous. The turkey sub is definitely the best, really fresh and tastes great. It’s a little pricey, but that’s expected at the airport. Overall, a good choice.

Firehouse Subs at Newark Airport was a really solid choice, especially for airport food. The sandwiches were fresh, hot, and packed with flavor, the bread was soft but still held everything together, and the meats and toppings didn’t feel skimpy at all. You can tell they actually put effort into making it taste like a real sub shop, not just a rushed airport version.
The service was pretty quick too, which is important when you’re trying to catch a flight. The staff was friendly and kept the line moving, even when it got busy. Overall, it’s definitely one of the better spots to grab a filling meal at the airport, and I’d go there again over most other options in Newark.

The kiosks were both broken, not calculating the total price, and when I would tell the staff they would look very exasperated and walk over, try refreshing it a few times, then walk back to the kitchen telling me to try again. I tried buying some chips that are prepackaged from the actual register, but they pointed me to the (broken) kiosks and told me they were busy. A friend asked me if I had ordered yet, I told him no, and he said good because it took 30 minutes to get him a sandwich that he said was horrible.

Rude staff, no sauce offered. Isn’t sauce like half of the experience?

Horrible service. It took 30+ minutes to get my sandwich and the workers were taking their sweet time. They did not care that customers had flights to catch.

2 guys working, no communication at all. A few customers asked for help with the kiosk and they just stared at the customers and barely mumbled a few words which we could barely understand. Super slow. Like the sloths working at the DMV in zootopia. No joke. Where’s Management??where’s corporate ?? Managers need to be trained on how to hire good employees who know how to talk and be friendly to customers and then know when to let them go. Never again.

I am writing to report a disappointing customer service experience at the Firehouse Subs location in Newark Liberty International Airport, Terminal B.
While traveling today with my daughter, we ordered a sandwich with the intention of splitting it between us. I politely asked the staff if they could provide a small container or plate so we could place half of the sandwich on it while sharing. The request was refused.
This was a very simple and reasonable request, especially considering the circumstances of traveling through the airport with family. Providing a small plate or container for a customer splitting a meal seems like a basic courtesy and standard level of service.
The food itself was fine, but the refusal to accommodate such a small request made the experience disappointing. Airport travelers already deal with high prices and limited options, so basic customer service goes a long way.
I hope this feedback is shared with the location management so they can encourage staff to be more accommodating to customers in the future.

The selection in Terminal B sucks. The dinner service and food was not bad. I would avoid this place for breakfast.
