Go! Go! Curry! Newark is a Filipino owned franchise with a lovely owner, and such delicious food! I’m glad I came across this food place randomly searching for food spots as the ambiance was also very chill and inviting. Would definitely recommend people to come and visit! The food itself is really good. Here are some advices. If you decide to go there, go late. The opening hour not correct, they are "open" but no one will serve you. If you decide to ask for delivery, double check with the delivery person, make sure they include fork and spoon for you.

Stands for the number five in Japanese and represents our love for the famous Yankees hitter, Hideki Matsui!! Also! On the 5th, 15th or 25th of each month you get a free topping coupon w/ purchase! (Cool, I love it!)
Everything on the menu is spectacular. Ask for your order to be made with their bowl and utensil if you're dining in and sure you won't want to take any to-go!
Speaking of that, I hope they run the air conditioner for a cheap price here and run it well, or they find a new venue in the future. If they improve their lobby their business WILL MEET and exceed the expenses in no time post COVID. I hope management takes note because I LOVE this business!!

I had the Pork Katsu and for my first time trying Japanese curry, it wasn’t bad at all. The katsu was crispy and flavorful, but the curry was just okay to me, nothing to rave about. The lady that made my food was really nice and accommodating as she substituted my shrimp with sausage. The restaurant was really clean and comfortable temperature on a hot day. Next time I am going to try the marinated rib-eye.
Store is pretty small with small table for dine in and can get dirty during busy hour if people did not clean up well after themselves. This place is not meant for sitting comfortably and more for a quick lunch. Ordered chicken and pork katsu curry. The katsu curry portion is fine, would be nice to have a drink as well. Both chicken and pork are good, seasoned well, not drying and tender, but I like pork more.
