As GOOD AS It GETS!!!! I had the pleasure of going here for some fantastic food. Everything was fresh and hot, the staff is friendly and the prices are reasonable. You get a lot but it is the taste of the food that counts. The foods tastes awesome !!! Oh....I wanted more. They are a fairly new restaurant and I know they will build up customers fast. Mac and cheese are cheesy and the oxtails are perfectly seasoned. The Collard greens are yummy and cooked just the way I like them. I plan to visit here again and again.

Fish was sooooo salty I got a headache, I didn't even finish it. The price was too expensive for a fish sandwich that was disgusting and the nerve of the lady who was serving us to suggest the fish. And I thought she was a bit rude!

I bought take out a couple of times, the food is very tasty. But I got turned off by the elderly guy fixing my food with a tooth pick hanging out of his mouth. And that is not very cool to me.

Haggar's Halal Kitchen is a treasure. I was staying at the Courtyard Marriott, half a block away. Haggar's served probably the best curried chicken, yams, and rice&beans I've ever had. And a pretty decent something-or-other cake for dessert. I don't know what the food's ethnicity is but, dang, it was GOOD. And wonderful, earnest people running the place.

Waiting around for an afternoon business meeting Downtown Newark. Wanted a small, quick bite to eat. Salmon cakes, grits, beef bacon and eggs at 3pm, cool. Food was so DELICIOUS, I wanted to order another to go but didn't want to be greedy. I WILL BE BACK and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS NICE, QUIET SPOT!

Stop by for a quick bite heard so much about this establishment. There were more empty tables than people. Ordered my food to go because the interior was just to drab. However the gentleman behind the counter was very professional. The j*** chicken was hopeful yams mushy, cabbage cafeteria.
