I rented here for one year and I had no issues with my apartment. I felt the price was fair for the fact that it was furnished, with all utilities included, and had a gym that I used often over the year. It is also within walking distance (7-10 minutes) to Newark Penn Station. Parking was not included but I knew this before renting. I paid $250 per month to park in a lot right across the street.
This would be a 5-star review if not for the prolonged process for receiving my security deposit which dragged out over 30 days as others have mentioned. However, Maurice the current manager communicated extremely well and kept following up until it was ultimately returned to me in full.

Hello. I lived in the apartment complex for three months. Upon moving out, I hired a professional cleaner to clean part of the apartment, with plans for another cleaner to finish the job the following day. Despite this, the management is now attempting to charge me an outrageous $5,000 cleaning fee. That’s a complete scam
I believe this charge is completely unreasonable and appears to be an attempt to exploit tenants. I consider this a fraudulent claim and a direct threat to my credit. I am formally notifying management that I intend to pursue legal action with my attorneys. I will not allow this to go unchallenged.
To others considering moving into this apartment complex: please be aware of this situation .

Just moved in here this month. The rent is reasonable for the location and amenities. I like that the gym is open 24 hours and that utilities are included in the rent. The room was pre-furnished, which I loved, and it's definitely spacious for 1-2 people. Meeting Kyle was great and I noticed he always greets everyone which I admire.
I do sometimes wish there was more weight lifting equipment in the gym but other than that, this place is definitely a gem in comparison to the other places I've viewed.

Worked with Melanie Campbell to schedule a tour this past weekend and I fell in love with the Indigo Residence. As a Flight Attendant, based in Newark this is perfect. Centrally located to almost everything you can think of. The demographic of the community was diverse. You will need key card access to enter the building, elevator & amenities. Which made me feel safe.
UPDATE: The best part of living at the Indigo is having Kyle & Jamario as concierge. They enforce the policies which keep the community feeling safe, clean & quiet. Very professional & personable gentlemen.

I am a new tenant to the building so I will more than likely be back to write another review at my 6 month mark. We currently got new management so I have not had the pleasure to interact with them. I do see that they have made a lot of adjustments and mini upgrades that make things more accessible, which I love.
When I moved in, I had the pleasure of meeting Kyle who is the buildings concierge. He was able to make this transition for me very comfortable. He has been very intentional when is comes to problem solving and is very knowledgeable about the area. I've realized that he always greets the tenants by name and with a smile which makes for a very welcoming environment.
With the upgrades that are expected to be here and the awesome concierge I am very pleased with my decision.
I will be back with updates on the building and interactions with the new management as time passes.

The building is beautiful (especially the rooftop) as are the apartments themselves. But what puts it over the top are the amenities & the people that make it work on a daily basis.
I cannot speak highly enough about Kyle - who is the building’s concierge - along with the maintenance team.
