I traveled from S. New Jersey ready to celebrate two of my friend's birthday. Upon arriving I was greeted nicely by a gentleman who asked to search my pocketbook and ID. Once inside again greeted nicely by the hostess. I gave her my reservation information and she indicated I couldn't be seated until the rest of my party arrived. Understandable. I proceeded to sit at the bar, which was 100% empty .I was told I couldn't sit at the bar and to sit on a bench behind the hostess window pressed up against a cold window. I didn't question this at the time but I definitely wanted to know why I couldn't sit at the bar . This clearly was a way more comfortable area and also a beverage would have been great while I was waiting. I then learn that one of my friends were not allowed to come in because of corkscrew he had in his bag with his bottle of wine. I wouldn't be upset about this if the doorman hadn't seem him get out of an uber in the rain. Where was he to put his corkscrew that prevented his entrance? A little compassion would of been appropriate at this point. Perhaps take the corkscrew and return it upon or departure but to deny him entrance?? A little harsh. I then had to come outside in the rain so that we both could wait for another friend who was driving to pull up to put the corkscrew in her car. Once this was settled we were now 4 of a party of 6. Unfortunately 1 person had an emergency and said she was late. The other was in route. We explained this to the hostess and she said she couldn't Seay us. Here we are 4 people waiting..2 sitting on the bench and 2 standing, unable to sit at a bar and unable to get seated b/c of circumstances beyond our control. At this point everyone was hungry and upset. Its unfortunate that we were placed in an uncomfortable situation and there was just no compassion from anyone. We decided to make reservations at am establishment less than 2 minutes away whom seated immediately although we were waiting on 2 other people. I will say the Ikoyi ambience was very nice and warming. This clearly is a case of looks can be deceiving. I won't recommend out of towners to patronage this business. A few things are unclear on the website but we learned the hard way. I truly hope they do better.

We went with my husband a few days ago to visit Ikoyi, it was a weekday and Lina served us, she made us some delicious mocktails decorated with delicacy and provided us with quality service. The food was ok, too spicy for our taste. We would like to return one weekend at night to share with friends and enjoy the atmosphere, but we would like her to serve us again. She was very kind and attentive to everything.

The place looks nice and is great for pictures, however my experience was very eh...I went with a friend. I waited at the bar and received a drink menu. I wasn't even told that the drinks were alcohol free until I ordered something. Non alcoholic drinks ranged from $8 to 17As I was waiting for my friend, I was trying to ask around where my friend could park. Parking here is not good at all. I saw a man park right in front of the restaurant so I tried to ask him if it was alright. He gave me an attitude and then said he's a security guard. He didn't look like one and seemed as if he was just a customer, being he just arrived to the restaurant. He apparently did work there, but he acted like I was a problem for asking where my friend could park. He also acted as if I was blocking people from coming into the restaurant when there were barely people in there at the time.We sat down and ordered. The menu has limited options and is over priced. I ordered Suya wings and the Okro stew. The wings were good, but the stew was just ok. It was $50 just for the stew. For dessert I had puff puff with ice cream and it was alright. After a while, the DJ stated playing. His set was nice, but there were a couple of times the mic or speakers messed up and we had to cover our ears.Would I be back, probably not...

I loveeee the music and atmosphere! Vibes on 10. Live sax + DJ is amazing.Portion size and drinks sans alcohol are overpriced. If they up their portions and include alcohol in drinks without hiking up the price after, this place will be a success! Food can also be warmer and jollof pepper could be a lot less.

Any place selling efo riro for $40 and okro for $50 is taking the piss. Very clear that this place isn’t really for Nigerians. Overpriced and disgusting food. They don’t even offer the table water, you have to pay for it.

The atmosphere and vibes are great, but the food was mid at best. Everything just had too much spice(hot peppers) in it and it didn’t taste fresh. However the vibes were everything. Good music, a sax player, belly dancer, hookah, and photo area. I would definitely come here for good vibes and hangout but not food. If this place works on the food quality they could be 5 stars all around.
