This is unlike a hotel Restaurant I've been in. Literally the fastest service, the kindest servers and delicious food. I had a Cobb salad and it was delicious. Many different varieties of foods. From hummus to wings to burgers and entrees. Many wines and beers to choose from. Worth the stay and convenience to have a great restaurant where you are staying at.

Happened upon this place after dropping our luggage (they are a luggage locker for Vertoe) and the staff was very welcoming. Really friendly and ready to serve. Food was great, empanadas with tomato pepper sauce was really good.

First time being there. The inside looks nice and it was warm (which is good, it was freezing outside). The waitress seemed to have trouble communicating but I can tell that she was trying her best. We ordered the guatita and the breaded chicken breast. And it tasted really good! I ate all of my chicken, which was a first. Three medium sized pieces and I ate it all, it’s good with ketchup :D. The rice was sticky feeling but still good, I didn’t eat all of my rice cause I was too busy eating my chicken that it got cold. Lastly the small salad, my dad thinks it needed lemon and salt. I thought it was “fine” the lettuce tasted a little off but still I ate most of it. To drink we got morocho. Once again, IT WAS GOOD! Tasted freshly made which was great, had little bits of morocho at with it, and the cinnamon on top MMMMM very good. There was two sinks outside of the bathroom which I thought was funny. (There’s still a sink in each bathrooms) would come again.

One star because there wasn't an option for a lesser rating, dined with my family of 3 altogether. Should've consulted here before even walking in that it was gonna be an absolute disaster of an establishment, simple dishes were ordered in which they arrived one by one instead of a complete order and on top of that the first dish which was a chicken soup that arrived ice cold, as well as soft drinks that are supposed to be served first also arrived a good 25 minutes after they were ordered. When the one dinner out of three was delivered (the soup) without any silverware so now we had to hunt down any kind of staff for them. My family grew tired of waiting for their food so we attempted to cancel the orders pay for whatever got to the table and leave elsewhere, but we're told no because" it had already been ordered and it was on its way". Almost as if they were forced to sit and wait like if we were in the wrong for asking for good service. At the end when the bill came out on top of that, this terrible excuse for a restaurant had the audacity to impose both a included gratuity of 18% as well as a 2% fee if you pay with credit card . My intention is to always pay with cash to facilitate the server with their tip out (former server myself) but if I hadn't reviewed the check I wouldn't have spotted this crime, because this is robbery, to the unexpected diner that isn't savvy enough to read their check properly is going to get robbed. Please avoid this establishment by all means, I for one am ok with shitty service if the food is great, but from beginning to end it was a complete disappointment. If you so happen to be dying of hunger and their is virtually nowhere else to go, I'd still avoid this place and gladly chew on my nails.

When in the need of a cup of coffee, something to snack on, or a full meal! Ironbound Cafe Restaurant has a variety of options. Everything is fresh and tasty. Looking forward to my next visit, plotting on my next meal already.. staff is super friendly and attentive, definitely worth a 5 star rating!! Butttttt tips are included in the Tab (bill) .. I noticed after I tipped again. So yes I double tipped unknowingly.

Conveniently located right across the street from Newark Penn Station, this is the perfect place to grab a quick bite to eat while you wait for your train or bus. Came here with one of my sorority babies as she missed her train and not only did we have time to kill but we were hungry! She was super excited that it was a Ecuadorian spot so she was really looking forward to try their menu but with no yelp reviews, I was a little hesitant. Nonetheless, we went in and decided to order some food. Coffee was pretty standard and we ended up ordering empanadas as well as Bolon. Bolon is a very typical Ecuadorian dish that consist of green plantain with cheese and sometimes meat that is mashed into a softball size ball then deep fried. We devoured this ball of yumminess and their picante (spicy sauce) did not lack flavor whatsoever! I also ordered a regular ham and cheese sandwich which I wish was grilled a little longer but it was still good. I would definitely recommend stopping by and grabbing a bite to eat or just coffee if you have time to kill or are in the area :)

Great decor. Very clean. Friendly staff and food was good. A very nice experience. Not all Ecuadorian restaurants look this way.
