Been going to this hot dog stand since my late teens - so for years! My dad took me and I've been hooked ever since. Everytime I return home, this is a guaranteed stop. I love the chili, cheese and onions and sauerkraut and mustard! It's a late night spot so expect to see a line in the wee hours of the night but they are quick with the service. Safe, I have never had a problem and bring cash - I'm not sure if they take credit cards. And yes, you pull right up in front or in back of the truck, walk up, order and depending on the weather devour them outside or inside your car. Dont be a litter bug and use the garbage can provided. Stop by you will not be disappointed!

JJ‘s hotdog truck is a Newark area institution. I’ve been going to this truck for far longer than I’m willing to admit without giving away my exact age. But let’s say it’s been a quarter of a century. And what I can tell you is, their dogs are good, awesome toppings choices if you wanna pimp out your glizzy. The service is spot on too. If you live in and around Newark and haven’t been to JJ’s, you might be a tourist.

This food truck has been a pillar in my family's history. They have been in the same location since the 70's... I moved to VA in 2020 and one of things I've missed the most is this place. Living in Pittsburgh we haven't had a great hot dog like you find in Newark. Sadly down town Newark there were no vendors, but we saw JJ's and are so glad we did. Needless to say when we get back we will be going again.
Jay was great!! He let me try his favorite hotdog from the secret menu. It had cream cheese, chili, bacon, etc. This was by far my favorite!! It was perfect balanced and very flavorful with a hint of spice. 100% recommend!
