Good food. However, I didn't care for the service.

Reneel is an outstanding, honest bartender over here. Chef Chris keeps this menu simple, but don’t let that fool ya! The Blackened Shrimp Po Boy is jam-PACKED with savory flavor and juice 😋. Happy hour is 4-7PM Monday to Friday!

Parking: Free parking is usually after 6/7PM

Bar food so all fried. Nice service and good beer can’t complain about that

Good service, friendly staff and good patrons. Bar can be empty at times and makes for a dull experience. When packed, it is usually an event or party. It would be nice if this bar tried to attract a younger or more party going audience.

Service was lackluster. Bartender seemed annoyed we came. Ordered a beer and a soda. Intended to order something to eat, but opted not to due to feeling uncomfortable.

I don’t care what anyone says, I love this place. It’s like cheers. Or really just any neighborhood bar before cell phones. You role in, you see some of your good friends, you see acquaintances you only really know and talk to at the bar, but everybody knows your name, bartenders included. But it’s not provincial, newcomers are always welcomed into the fold so don’t be bashful!

They hosted a Black Gay Pride Game Night, and it did not disappoint. They were well staffed for the crowd. Nothing lacked. Food was good. Service was fast. This is Definitely a go-to spot in downtown newark.

Parking: We arrived after the time that you no longer have to feed parking meters on halsey street. So we parked free of charge. But we did have to Circle the block a couple times before we got lucky.

The Kilkenny glory days are over. I remember when I was in college in 2015. This place was stellar and quite pleasant. Food was good and the beer was on point.Came back after years and it’s quite dead, they have a buster speaker. The bartender is playing chess on the bar with a customer. And the spark of this bar is gone. It’s quite sad RIP

Bar staff could be friendlier. Main guy makes me not want to go back.
