An experience that I recommend for any “Brazilian” Sushi lover. The variety is so great, it’s impossible to eat everything. Tasty food and fantastic service. We chose the rotation option and the very attentive Rodrigo didn't keep us waiting. Great service and nice music!

Service was not good at all. Rodrigo was not helpful and did not educate how to choose the from the menu on the phone which is harder and takes longer. Should be a paper menu especially for first timers. After dinner i gave a tip but did not noticed that the bill already came with the tip included. When I asked for the tip back Rodrigo said the tip on the receipt was for the kitchen. Not worth the money you are going to spend there. Food is also not good enough. Service terrible. Not worth going. The only thing that was good was the fish tank.

It's our favorite restaurant when it comes to Sushi. We love being there, we always go at least twice a month to Kingu sushi in Newark. When we saw the announcement of the opening in Union NJ we went to honor them on Valentine's Day. It was scary, a Gerra scene. people leaving, people shouting for service, we have never been so poorly served, it took them 2 hours to deliver our order and believe me it's not an exaggeration. and they still delivered half. We had to leave because we arrived at 8:30pm and it was already 11:00pm and they still hadn't served our order in full. (we pay in full). Excuses don't help, as this is a special date with advance reservations and the experience of another restaurant, there shouldn't be such grotesque ERRORS. After this review, we would like the owners to really reflect, you must understand that your product requires quality, beauty and exceptional service, as it is an EXPENSIVE dish. Finally, we will return to Newark with the hope that everything is still fine there. and to the Owners, my sincere request for reflection and respect for customers.

This sushi ? place is more Brazilian than Japanese. There is a heavy reliance on Salmon more than Tuna. It has many unusual fusion creations, and I never knew that Doritos could be used as a delicious ingredient for sushi!

This place is an absolute dump.They only have salmon, not a single other fish, cooked or raw. They should just call it Kingu Salmon. Don’t lie with the empty offer of sushi, when it’s just salmon different ways, and sushi is one of them. They charge as much as a Michelin star restaurant.No English menu, entire menu was in Portuguese and no idea what the name of fishes were in Portuguese… turned out it was all still salmon. Salmon topped with Gorgonzola, the Gorgonzola was grey from mold. There was a 1.5inch bone in my roll I nearly choked on, which would have been fine if the rest of the experience wasn’t a complete waste of $120 lunch.Please save your money and don’t support this business.Instead, other businesses should poach their people because the cooks and waiters are very kind.Dietary restrictions: If you only like salmon, you’ll love it here. If you’re looking to taste any other type of fish, your SOL; go to a real sushi restaurant.

Very interesting place. We came here for late lunch early dinner. We tried to read the menu online, but it was in Portuguese. Apparently, they dont have a menu in English. Also, they only have a menu online. But later we saw that other guests, probably those who speak Portuguese, they have paper with a menu where they mark what they will eat. I find it very interesting not to have a menu in English in New Jersey.But this was not the only surprise that we experienced. We ordered two different platters, and apparently, everything was with salmon, just differently prepared salmon. Raw salmon, coocked salmon, salmon wrapped in rice, rice wrapped in salmon, salmon on top of rice, rice with cream cheese, and salmon on top. Well. It is a very weirs sushi to be honest, where mainly everything is salmon. We also had kani salad and chicken dumplings..it was the only different dish that did not have a salmon. Of course, since we dont speak Portuguese, we could not understand the menu, but i did see in there octopus and shrimp, but it was a separate dish, not sushi. Also, from the drinks, they only serve sodas. But despite all that, food was good, but it was the most expensive sushi, that we ever had without a very big variety.
We visited Kingu Sushi on Saturday as we heard amazing things about their Brazilian sushi and hand rolls (temaki). We drove from NY to NJ just to confirm what we already knew - it was the BEST sushi we ever had. We had the Hot Roll, Salmon Roll, we also tried the Passionfruit Joe Joe and the banana with dulce de leche. It was out of this world and we can’t wait to go back. We highly recommend Kings Sushi ☺️
