There is a vegan ramen designated on the menu, pretty tasty. The veggie dumplings are probably vegan but not labeled so.

Service was quick, the pork and chive dumplings were delicious, and even tho they serve it with soy sauce instead of dumpling sauce, it’s an airport. Don’t expect 5 star restaurant authentic dumplings. They’re good

Many thanks

Food was great, have to mobile scan to order and pre tip servers dunno how I’m supposed to gauge their service that way. Overall tho satisfied my Asian craving
3 star bc of the Mobil scan menu. Highly dislike that I’d like to talk to a human during my experience thank you. My fiancée thinks it was 5/5

Over priced and low quality food. People work here have no idea what Asian foods are and still selling. My 5 sad looking dumplings costed me 13 dollar including tips. These are probably microwaved based on how hard the shell became after it is out. Don’t go here.

Little Purse Dumpling Den at Newark Liberty International Airport - Disappointing Experience

During a layover in Newark on our way to Portugal, we decided to try something different and found ourselves at the Little Purse Dumpling Den. We seated ourselves, as is standard these days, and after a few minutes, the waitress handed us menus and directed us to use a QR code for ordering. She brought us water, and unfortunately, this is where the experience took a downturn. The water had a strange, unpleasant taste, clearly indicating the filter hadn’t been changed in months, making it undrinkable. Despite this, we chose to stay, hoping the food would make up for it.

We ordered the Korean Spicy Salad and a portion of chicken and vegetable dumplings, intending it to be more of a snack. Sadly, the salad was bland and lacked any real flavor or substance. Both of us took a bite, but we couldn’t bring ourselves to finish it—quite unusual, especially for those who were raised to clean their plates. However, to be fair, the dumplings were a pleasant surprise. They were tender on the outside and flavorful on the inside, which was the one redeeming part of the meal.

Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant. The management should consider dining as regular patrons to understand what they’re offering and make the necessary improvements. Otherwise, I can’t see them lasting much longer if this is the standard they’re setting.

Not sure why this place has such bad ratings but we thought the food was good and service was quick. Especially enjoyed the vegan ramen. Dumplings were piping hot, we’re hoping they would be less crispy.

Very blah for food. I thought it would be better given how much busier it was than anything else. Overcooked dumplings. :/

35 minutes for one order of chicken dumplings. Didn’t come in time and had to board my flight without ever getting my meal. Very inconvenient

Ate at the location across from C103, which looked great from the outside, but we were disappointed.
It is expensive ($20 for all entrees, $20 for a single cocktail, $7 for just water! and no, free water was not offered), our table was not wiped down at all before we were sat by the hostess, we were only offered two forks between the three of us and no cups (had to get chopsticks ourselves from behind the counter because staff was not attentive, and several people were drinking from their personal water bottles because no water is available), there were flies everywhere, the food was fine but not that good for the price point, and some of the staff were not very nice (touching my phone and potentially trying to open my backpack when I went to the restroom?!). I was also shocked that the lowest tip option was 15% despite never being waited on by anyone because you order and pay on your phone. Food is not brought out all at once, but whenever it is ready, so by the time two of us had finished eating, the other had just got their meal. I understand serving the food when it is hot and fresh, but considering that the dumplings are all premade and then thrown into a bowl when it's serving time, maybe it wouldn't be too hard to time it a bit better? ?
Anyway, I understand that airports and especially restaurants can be very busy and stressful, but I've worked in a busy restaurant before and this experience was like whiplash to me.
As other reviewers have said, there is potential here! The dumplings were good, and the decor is nice. However significant improvements are needed to make this place worth dining at.

Service sucked, there were flies, and the server grabbed my girlfriend's phone. Judging by the other reviews, this is normal and isn't going to change. Do better.

Very solid. Yes but perfect in any way, but staff are nice, food is decent and drinks were solid. I'd come back
