Wanted to try out this spot since it’s close to Prudential Center. Got sat quickly, ordered tenders and fries with a drink. Tenders were a bit dry but it fills you up. Took about 20 mins to get the food. They only offer coke products according to the server, so I got a coke. Soda comes SUPER flat. After server left he didn’t check on us once, nor come back to ask if we needed anything. Had to go to the bar to order another drink. Then to ask for the check I had to flag down another worker. Would not come back solely for the terrible customer service.

This place has potential to be a really dynamic place to gather with friends and family for a NFL Sunday or College Football Saturday. The place is large, open and airy so it won’t feel crowded or overwhelming. The food coming out of the kitchen is your typical bar food. However, I would recommend they use more fresh ingredients and go easy with serving everything out of a can or jar. Service was good and the place is kept clean. Give this place try but tame expectations and feel free to stop in when going the Prudential Center for concert or sporting event. $$

Service was atrocious. The restaurant itself was so dirty. There wasn’t a table that was clean to sit it. So much that I questioned if this was more of a fast food place like Wendy’s because dishes and cups and dirty napkins were literally on every single open table. we decided to grab a seat at the bar.
It took about 45 minutes for an order of fries and nachos and chicken sandwich to come out . The bar top/counter had people sitting but people were only ordering drinks- no food. and now I know why.
My nachos had some kind of mystery meat on them. The avocado/guacamole that was placed on it was dark brown… at first i thought it was the lighting - it wasn’t - it was bad. Not one time did anyone give us utensils or napkins or any type of roll up. we took bar napkins that are used for drinks.
The fries were ok. the staff- just WoW!!!!!! awful. A person came in and asked about an order and showed them their phone the girl working literally turned around while walking away and said it’s not ready. barely acknowledging her… I felt sorry for her.
these types of workers are going to run that place into the ground. there was one older gentleman I will say that was working- that clearly was the only one working. He was the one who got us our check when we asked.

Absolutely horrible. First, didn’t give us the menu until after 15 mins of waiting and following up. Then took our orders but kept telling us to order drinks first. We kept telling them that we were very hungry and every other table have gotten their order already. And only until after another 30 mins of waiting do they tell us that their “kitchen is backed up” so they can’t take our food order. Seriously?!? Every other table had their food and the place isn’t even full, so that was a blatant lie. NEVER EVER COME TO THIS PLACE.

This place needs an overhaul. There’s no reason I step into a food establishment and can’t smell food. The menus are nasty and the place is filthy. I smelled trash or the floor drains as soon as I sat at the table. Nobody even seemed to care as we discussed the issue to the “bartender”. Overall, the energy and attitude this place has for food and hospitality, lets me know it’s only a matter of time before they crash and burn. As a chef, I won’t be returning. Waste of such a big space/location.
Honestly this place has potential but there’s needs to be a complete overhaul in management my partner and I ordered a seafood boil as well as half and half chicken I should’ve known things were going to be IFFY they had 1 bartender and 1 waitress serving the entire restaurant, there weren’t any air conditioning only multiple fans recycling hot air, there was what seem like a group of employees just sitting around and playing with a toddler that was screaming and running up and down the chicken was amazing they should honestly only stick to that and I want to give a shoutout to the black waiter and waitress who seem like they are trying there best in those work conditions .. all in all we won’t be returning.

Breaking Bread
I stumbled upon this hidden gem on a nice Sunday afternoon, after a nail date with my mom. The man who took care of us was superb! He was attentive, kind, and helpful when it came to questions about the menu.
I really enjoyed this meal. The Lychee Ade was so sweet, creamy, & refreshing. The KFC was fried to perfection, with an amazingly flavored sauce that paired with it. Lastly, the seafood boil!🤭, SPECTACULAR!!!!! The “Mad Sweet” sauce was something I never tried for a seafood boil. It was like having soy garlic sauce but with seafood. I’m still thinking about it now lol
I highly recommend this place if you’re in the area, and if not it’s worth the trip!!

Pelaiah Was great me and my friends went there just strolling by after leaving a funeral. She made us feel great and gave us wonderful service. We really enjoyed our night. The food was great. The chicken taste delicious. It's some type of sauce that they use on the chicken, it is phenomenal. The chicken is also crispy. I had the tenders. My friends had a chicken sandwich and it was definitely superb. I can't wait to go back.
Update : I've been back to this place at least 10 or more times since I posted the first review... it still taste the same nothing has fell off as far as flavor. It is absolutely delicious.. Now about that sauce I like so much is the garlic soy sauce. Make sure you get the chicken tenders with the garlic soy sauce. It is phenomenal. I crave this every couple of weeks literally... Best Chicken Downtown NEWARK 💯

I wouldn’t know what the food was like as we stood at the sign that says “wait to be seated” for 20 minutes and no one ever spoke to us. Place was hopping but didn’t seem like anyone was working. We did see a coupe guys with matching pretzel shirts that left as we arrived, but never saw any employees but one poor lady behind the bar. However, this doesn’t surprise me much as this location is located in the lovely Newark.
