Just stopped in for a quick drink after a walk in the area on our way to EWR for our flight home to Spain. Would like to return for a meal sometime as the food looked great ?

I’ve eaten here two times. The ladies behind the bar are extremely friendly and attentive. The meals are tasty with generous portions. I’m not a huge fan of French fries, but these are so good and taste homemade! The salad was delicious and the garlic pork chops were excellent. My friend had grilled salmon and enjoyed it. The prices are affordable and they even have a $4 glass of house wine that they fill to the rim; you can’t beat it! My only complaint is that it is extremely warm in there. Other than that, I highly recommend.

Walked in on a monday early evening and the bar staff was really quick and attentive. I was hopingng more simple and varied fish options, but settled on the swordfish to avoid walking aimlessly through town in search of this. The fish wasnt bad, but it wasnt grilled (as per the menu), it was done on the griddle (fried-ish?), which was disappointing. to their credit, it was simply made and not overdone/overseasoned. I chose rice/beans instead of veggies and the black beans were okay..but the rice ? (what is it with the ironbound and parboiled rice vs fresh steamed rice?!?!) . The toral bill was not bad when i thought of it. If it wasnt for the awesome service I'd give it less stars. Other things on the menu could be tastier, so poke around. i would pay top dollar for fresh, fluffy, steamed rice anywhere in the ironbound ?

This was a favorite place for me, I loved the food, I even had my daughter's baby shower there a few years ago and everything was very good, but I went there for a week with my husband and the attention was terrible, we ordered a large pitcher of sangria and we were They brought a drink, then we told the waitress that it was a jug and they brought us a small one, she never understood, the food was terrible, my husband ordered a picana and they brought him another type of meat, anyway, I'm never going to go back ?

It was the first time I was there and the food was excellent but the only problem I had was the fact the waitress was very disrespectful to me when I asked if the food had any lactose products because I am lactose intolerance and she replied to me saying the bathroom is right there.
The codfish was amazing! The best fish I have ever had. The desert was also amazing . I will definitely come back here another time and highly recommend this restaurant.
