We were lured in by smell of charcoal and saw them grilling! Rice and beans with 1 huge kabob was $10 was reasonable. Food was delicious and my chicken kabob was really tasty and perfect (I was afraid it was going to be dry.) Their fried potato ball was good too! Will be stopping by again!
Had the shell steak with pinto beans and brown rice. Cooked to only medium but it was enjoyable meal. Just fyi portions are enough for two or more people.One thing that might be off putting to some is they are cash only but they do have atm on site. I would recommend this spot to anyone wanting a delicious meal.
Located right off McCarter Highway in Newark right by South Street. This Manny's is way different than the others I have visited. A big platter is still $8 and empandas are still $2. I ordered stewed chicken with rice & black beans. Chicken was juicy & falling off the bone, rice was cooked well, not over cooked as were the beans. I ate this food for 3 days as the portion size is huge. I will be back...
