Matuto food is great specially if you go during the happy hours because the prices are very descent. I like the draft beers in this bar are the best in the area. In the area is not to many bars or restaurants with good draft beer.

First things first, the food is quite delicious, but secondly and unfortunately the service is very bad. Twice I receive the wrong food and the first time I had to go back and wait an extra 30 minutes when I was the only customer in the building and I asked for one simple thing. The restaurant staff fails to take accountability for their lack of attention to details and poor management it and honestly it’s quite disappointing considering the restaurant has a very nice interior and very well made food. Hopefully that can change because better management is all they would need to be, in my opinion, a “perfect” restaurant.

Staff is very attentive and friendly, good selection of beers (generally served in ice-cold mugs), lively atmosphere on weekends and nights with bands, one of the better happy hours in Newark [though not very well-known yet], outdoor seating and most of the dishes we tried were very good.
