Good restaurant, if you speak Portuguese you will feel at home.
Great Portuguese food and service is on point 👌
Low key quiet ,older crowd. Food was amazing.
When in the Newark area, I suggest to try small neighborhood Portuguese restaurants, and this is one of them. The food is good, the prices are way below New York City prices, and the food is totally European / Mediterranean in nature. You can sit down, and have a glass of wine with some olives, an entree or a nice appetizer, and a classic dessert, and not go much over $20-25+tax and tip. You will have come in, have some nice Portuguese rolls and Multigrain Broa bread, when you sit down, and relax for a while. Broa bread is quite unique, made from a mixture of corn and rye flower. It has a chewiness that takes some getting used to and and an extremely crusty nature. It is like multigrain on steroids. Great with butter or cheese that balances out the bold textures of the bread. I have continued visiting this restaurant every month. Quality varied widely and specials are often sold out. That is not to say the restaurant is not worth a try, because you can get good Portuguese food in general, get large portions, and reasonable prices.
Went on a Sunday for lunch and they were out of a LOT of things - food and beverages, including Triple Sec so they couldn't make sangria! Pretty much a staple in the area.
