The food at Nico was excellent. My friend and I were there for a show. The entrees were a bit late, but the server gave us two appetizers and offered us something from the bar (which we declined) to make up for the delay. The service was great and we would definitely return.
Very nice atmosphere. Inside of NJPAC. Very convenient without sacrificing vibes. Will be going again next time I frequent the venue. 1 stop shop checking all the boxes for datenight
Pleasant, attentive service. Generous, well-made cocktails. Nice room, big enough to be conducive to conversation, with a terrific selection of music piped in at a reasonable volume. Great location for NJPAC concert-goers. The food? Meh. I had the pan-seared sword. The potatoes were OK, and the broccoli was perfectly rare. But the fish was waaaaaaaaay overcooked. Hard and dry. Burnt at the edges. And past comments I've seen about lack of seasoning/spice/herbs on everything are spot-on. Everything on my plate was oddly bland. And this is coming from a person who is critical of over-seasoning that obscures the flavors of the principal ingredients.
Menu was a little limited but what we had was very good. Could get a little loud. Nice to walk right from dinner to the theater.
Great place for dinner before a concert at NJPAC. Food, Drinks and Service were excellent. Can't say anything bad about this place.
We had a lovely time at Nico prior to show at NJPAC. Cocktails were delicious Cosmo's & Espresso martinis. We ordered mostly appetizers to share & all were very good. Our server Brianna was very sweet & attentive. Very convenient. Would definitely recommend. So convenient.
Wonderful experience for before a beautiful afternoon NJSO concert ! Small menu but I always find what to order and it's always very good . Delicious BLT with Poached egg ! The best French fries ! Their dinners are great too
We love the convenience of Nico kitchen to the theater right next-door. We were seated immediately in the bar area of the restaurant. I will say that some of the patrons sitting in the lounge area of the bar area were a bit too loud for my liking, however, it was not constant. We were given menus and placed our order. However, they came back and said that the menus that they had given us by mistake for lunchtime menus so we started over which was really no issue. Other than one of the sandwiches not being on the dinner menu the garlic tomato soup and roasted brussels sprouts were amazing and the shrimp scampi was out of this world. The only issue I have with our server was that she did not return to the table after serving our drinks and food. in a timely fashion, and we sat without cold drinks, nonalcoholic, for a little too long. All in all we love the food. The ambience of Nico kitchen is amazing, the server was new only a week on the job, but all in all, she did a great job. I would definitely return and this time I would make a reservation in the area away from the bar.
Fab staff, friendly and efficient. Good food. Great for preshow dinner - couldn't be closer to the venue!
Enjoyed the service and ambience but the food itself wasn't great. I had the maple glazed atlantic salmon with roasted acorn squash, brussels sprouts, and pomegranate orange gremolata. The salmon itself was cooked to my preference and tasted fresh. Unfortunately, the brussels tasted of freezer burn or fridge storage, the squash was mealy, and there wasn't enough of the orange gremolata (though the gremolata itself was very tasty). Also, their water tasted so foul that I couldn't drink it. While they can't control the taste of the municipal water, I would recommend they implement a water filtration program or offer artisinal bottled water. My sense is that the pre-threater crowd likely sustains this establishment. I can't imagine it would last very long based on the quality of the food.

This was our first time coming here, and likely will be our last. The service was good. We had no issues with the wait staff. Our waitress was pleasant and great. We ordered the Old Fashioned and the Negroni that was on the seasonal specials menu to start. We didn't care for either of them. We shared the lobster bisque and a duck prosciutto & pear salad. The salad was dry. The lobster bisque was obviously sitting out because it was not hot, it was just warm enough, and it already was getting that film a cream based soup gets when it sits. The lamb stew special was a let down... we were told it had shredded lamb. It had bits of lamb so small, you could barely find it. If you told me it came frm a can, I'd believe it. The short ribs with the romesco sauce had potential. The short rib itself was ok, the sauce was obviously sitting on the plate for a while because it was dry, and the potato au gratin tasted like the potatoes werent cooked thru and the au gratin sauce was thin and already separating. It wasn't terrible but it wasn't good enough that we would recommend it or come back.
Good service. Had Brussels sprouts as appetizer - very good. Limited main menu. Had the roasted chicken and fish & chips. Chicken dish was good. Fish was over cooked and had too much batter (thicker fish portions with lighter batter would be better). Very convenient location for attending NJPAC.
Highly recommend, Amanda was the best host she was very very accommodating to our needs.

We stopped by before seeing a show at the NJPAC. The food was excellent and our server was outstanding; He really went above and beyond to make sure we were attended to. Shouts out to Mena W. for helping to make my parents birthday out really nice! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice meal if they're attending a show at the NJPAC and would come again!
