Great food. Great service.
Friendly staff. Portions are big. they are not stingy with the food.
The food was delicious. Good customer service.
Most inconsistent food place ever..literally enjoyed their okro stew last week and today,it’s the worst ever…learn how to stay consistent because your food are very expensive 👎🏾

So this is actually my favorite ghanian place in NJ, their portions are so much, I get three servings from a meal, there is so much proteins with different varieties offered, and the food tastes nice.
One thing I don’t like abt this place was the man that picks up the calls for takeouts, he is very rude and has no business taking to-go calls, has no customer service skills, and after being rude ends the call on you even after you calmly state what you’re ordering. Pls get someone else to handle the phone. I like coming here and don’t want to stop, I’ve also invited several of my friends here as well.
Great place.

One of the best Ghanaian restaurants I’ve been to. This is my family’s go to spot whenever I’m need of quality food and I don’t have time to cook. I love the wakye and banku with fish. This place never disappoints. Most African restaurants taste good one day and bad the next day, but one thing about Aunty Lizzy’s is that the food is very consistent.

I used to live in Newark and frequently bought food from Aunty Lizzy when she was in the food truck. Food was A+++. I had family visit from Ghana and Canada and it was all they wanted to eat for three days straight!
Now I live in Bergen County, about 45 minutes away, so I only eat from Aunty Lizzy once every few months, and I must say the last three times have all been DISAPPOINTING! Grilled Tilapia does not taste good at all... it lacks seasoning! I was given banku even though I asked for Kenkey and I didn't realize the mistake till I got home. The banku smelled burned, like it was from the bottom of the pot, and it did not taste good, like the dough used was not properly fermented and had no salt! We also got waakye and that was ok. Not great as before, but ok. So that's why I gave her two stars. Prices have gone up but I understand that cos everything is pricier these days. But with her increase in price, she should have kept the quality also higher, or at least same as before.
Food was great in the past that I would have driven an hour to get to her. Now, I no longer feel like this place is worth me driving 10mins, let alone almost 1 hour!! Next time, I'll just use the time to make my own waakye and fish at home!
Went in with my friend and we loved the fast service and the delicious meal. I had fufu with light soup and goat meat. My friend who is an American ordered for fries yam with fish and turkey. We really enjoyed every bit of it. The most unfortunate thing was that I did not buy extra. Polite and extra quick service

Their waakye is absolutely scrumptious. I love it. I would get it any day. I wouldn’t recommend their jollof rice. It’s below average, unfortunately.
