My family and i enjoy the pizza from Papa Johns. We go to different locations.
They like to overcook the pizza, so if you like your pizza borderline burnt, this is the location for you! After 2 pizzas were delivered with burnt crust and dark cheese, I figured I'd try again but called ahead and requested they not overcook my order. I was told, "the oven is set to well done so we'll have to pull it out early" - the pizza arrived and was still darker than expected. Not as bad as previous orders but certainly not a "normal bake". I will no longer order from this location.

Terrible service. This store made my Grandmother pay extra money for garlic sauce that already comes with the pizza. My grandmother is highly devastated and feels that this store tried to scam her for a few extra dollars

I am highly disappointed with this location. This is the first time I had such an experience. I ordered a pizza at 9:30 pm to be delivered at 11:30 PM I tried multiple times to contact the store only to be disconnected. I finally got a hold of a live person at 12:30 am. She advised me the driver called, but couldn't get through. Even if that were true, what type of customer service, answers a call, places it on hold and continuously disconnects it. Very rude and unprofessional. Hire additional workers, if you need more help.
A walk-in order, was only a 15 minute wait, and pizza ? was delicious!

This review was a lil hard. This papa John's location used to be one of my favorites. But now the staff is always changing and it shows. The pizza crust is too doughy, and the toppings are gooey. They even give you an option of well done,but it still is never cooked properly. They sell a lot of delivery so when you enter there are literally boxes all over the place. And they cook the pies too fast. I even tested it. I parked in the lot and ordered my pizza over the phone. In just about ten minutes my pizza was ready. It's impossible to be properly prepared and cooked in that little bit of time. The staff always seems to be having too much fun than being professional. And it shows in the quality of the pizza. It's not a bad place. Just not a good place no more either.
Parking: The lot is also shared with the other establishments at the location. And it's a small lot. So most of the time it is full.

The pizza from Papa John's at this location in Bloomfield Ave, Newark is highly disappointing. It looks unappetizing and tastes just as bad—like cardboard, bland, dry and an odd mix of tough crunchy dough. I've had excellent Papa John's pizza from various locations in New Jersey and Florida, but this one is so bad that supermarket frozen pizza is far better. I recommend to buy somewhere else.
