Not much to look at from the outside and you wouldn't give it a thought if you were driving by and looking for a meal, but let me tell you, you're missing out!!The breakfast sandwiches are made to order, huge, and awesome. Trust me when I tell you, the picanha steak sandwich is OUTSTANDING! Order with pepper jack cheese, lettuce and tomato, little bit of mayo and you won't regret it!!No seating, so its to go only and parking is limited on the street but worth a try if you're around the area.Across the street from the Cathedral, a couple blocks from the entrance to Branch Brook Park, a block from Barringer HS.

We found this little corner deli while visiting the Sacred Heart Cathedral nearby. A classic "neighborhood" place. It seemed to be very popular with the locals. The sandwiches were excellent. The prices were very reasonable. And the staff is very friendly. Highly recommended!
Best Deli sandwiches in all of Newark. #1 by far. Call to place your order. It can get a bit crowded waiting in there. Helps the process go smoother if you order ahead. But even if you don't, It's worth the wait. Staff is very respectful and work hard behind that counter. This has got to be one of the very few places that has stood the test of time in the north Newark neighborhood.

Fresh Portuguese rolls, whole wheat and white bread, their service is excellent. The workers are diligent, order your sandwich ahead of time and their fast with their orders. You won't be disappointed! Prices are reasonable too.

I'm in the area for work, and I come here too much. Great staff, this place is definitely a pillar of this community if not then it's the most popular and busy corner store I've ever been to, gives of a local NY vibe but not loud or any destructive customers.
