The food is very delicious, but the staff never treats you well, they are not able to come to the table and ask if everything is okay and they still include the tip.

I LOVE this restaurant. It has a nice ambiance, and even nicer food.
I visited for the first time around when they first opened and I must admit I was pretty skeptical at the time, since the food was good but the service was horrible. However, I decided to give them another chance and I am so glad I did. They have improved significantly since then.
The food is still good, but it doesn't take that long to get it now. It tends to be really busy on the weekends, and the music is usually very loud since they invite singers to perform. So if you are someone who prefers a more quiet space, maybe visit on weekdays. As a Peruvian, it has been hard to find good authentic restaurants to eat at, but Peru Taypa satisfied me. I ate the Tallarines a la Huacaina and they were heavenly. The sauce was PERFECTION. The portion was so filling; I left the restaurant feeling I was going to explode! Overall, a nice place with amazing Peruvian food, 100% would recommend.

The crab, not at all fresh, disgusted me when it melted in my mouth as if it were puree with a bad taste, the onion in the ceviche was thick, it looked like a child had picked it and the jelly was not jelly, it did not have fish, it did not have cassava and it was not cooked. at the time and the price was 62 dollars, the only thing that was good was the rice with seafood
